Imo dani alves was still in barca.. Trying and failing to get a foul.. Then waving at the ref like a moron..

He should do better when he is used to the Serie a.. He isn't being protected by the ref anymore and needs to get used to that..

Solid start to the season.

Positives:

Asabob bossing the midfield, Lemina's play, and Higuain scoring after coming on.

Negatives:

Conceding and deploying a conservative approach at times, Hernanes being on the pitch, and Bernandeschi's new hairstyle and hair color making him look like Martina Navratilova (all he was missing were a pair of spectacles).
we've been conceding and conservative in the second half simply because we didn't have enough fuel in us to keep doing what we did in the first half.
It's the first real game of the season man! and against fiorentina not some minor team.

Look at Roma they needed 2 consecutive penalties to get better of Udinese. And from what they say the first was no penalty at all

We won't reach our full potential until everyone employed by the club doubles down on treating us like a global team that happens to operate in Italy, not an Italian team that has a global following. The world is one village now and Italy is but a street in it. We must set our eyes on the global prize, like RMD BRC MUN. Just look at how these teams are received (Teams that belong to the world). We are perceived as the best Italian team, but rarely anything more. Our mindset must change. Having said that I acknowledge we are improving in that regard, but I can't help but think we ought to do a better job at it.

Note: Winning CL 2 times and reaching semi-final 3 times in the next 5 years would be a good start.
It's an uphill battle, but if you look at the quality of players from the past few years, it has been a process to get where we are now. Careful acquisitions and great coaching led us to a final, and we have a much stronger attack this year. with the young quality talent we now have in dybala, as, khedira if he stays healthy, and a quality finisher in higuain, we should go far again this year and next. Like you said, consistent winning and great players will solidify our place, and hopefully bring in more wealth for wages and such to retain talent. I believe we are at that turning point.
