Your not fully aware of the debate that took place. Seven claimed Roma fans are morons because they support such a team (as they acted this week-end). My reply was that it is a ridiculous statement...a 20 year or even 5 year Roma fan is a MORON because he suddendly is supposed to stop supporting his team because of the way they acted on one particular week? How can he help it?
More over...then why should a Juve fan support Juve when at a certain point they were doped.
Why should a Milan fan support Milan when in the 80's they were in Serie B and in the midst of a betting scandal?
Teams like humans ERROR...they are not perfect. You stick through your team in thick and thin and don't BOLT when they make decisions you don't like...
Juve sold Zidane? So be it ..way it goes.
Milan sold Albertini? So be it..way it goes.
Inter sold Cannavaro? So be it..way it goes.
POINT: You will not always be happy with your teams decisions and shortcomings but you remain a fan.
His logic makes NO SENSE.
I am with Nick on this one I am afraid. Stick with your team no matter what! Being loyal to your team through thick and thin is what makes being a football fan exciting. If you switch your team every time they stumble...where is the fun in that? Roma fans are Roma fans not because they like the violence on (and off) the pitch. They are Romanista either because they live in Rome, had/have a favourite player that made them love the team, or just simply the team clicked with them in their hearts.

but how can u admire and be proud for a team, when every match ends with a fight, on and off the field?
how can u be proud of totti, when he fouls and then complaing about it?
how many teams do act like that?
i know romanistas that are proud for the fighting spirit, their team has, they think they are so cool when they beat or stab anothers teams fans,
"we are roma the great, the wolves, we sould be feared, noone messes with us in rome"
BTW, u know there is always SS lazio

Are you kidding? I was at the game and despite popular belief the fans handled themselves with class despite a few morons throwing things on the field.
Yes they have a bad rap from the past such as versus Milan last year but they have improved by leaps and bounds and this last match demonstrated this.

Regardless, he is your captain and your star..he has a lack of class and humility but he happens to play on the team a Roma fan supports..should they switch team??

that happens everywhere...Juve fans have stabbed..Milan fans have stabbed...Inter fans have stabbed....a few rotten apples do NOT ruin the bunch
Funny you mention Lazio because if you knew something about tifosis in Italy you would know that Lazio is the most rascist and violent bunch of that group.

so stabbing 5 people was just an error?
A juve fan once ran through a CL game brandishing a HANDGUN ... should Juve fans be stereotyped for that.

Dude...beatings and whippings happen every week...go watch a game and stand outside 1 hour before

That's nothing new, but the thing is that those romanistas stabbed innocent tifosi! Actually I believe that all of Juve's tifosi who go to the games should only go along with Juve's ultras, otherwise they're in big trouble. Don't try to claim that stabbing incidents happen every week, because they don't!

Well, the boys are back in town

This admiration does not mean that they approve, maybe some do but as nick said "a few rotten eggs"....Fighting happens everywhere in this world...If a 1000 Romanista fight and stab does that mean all romanista are this way? i am pretty sure that these 1000 only represent .01% of all Roma fans in this world.
Also I would like to say that roma IS NOT totti....most roma fans were fans long before totti set foot on a pitch....its the other way around.....Totti is the one who needs roma...and i am pretty sure that he would behave the same in any club he goes to.
At the same moment you were saying this. I am sure another Milan fan, Roma fan, inter fan....etc is saying the same about juve with the same twisted sense...and i am sure that u wouldnt like it and retort quickly and swiftly. So if you wanna be respected u should pay respect to others and treat them the way you want to be treated...and not paint with a wide brush!

i know that fights happen every day between every teams around the world, i never said ALL roma fans, are the same,
fans and teams have more or less the same attidute(on doping matters too :Di m glad we agree)
but there is a great percentage of troublemaker fans between the ranks of lazio and roma, i havent personally been in italy but from what i ve heart from media and friends it seems to me roma crossed the line too many times and their players provoking caracter doesnt help much to avoid this,
i dont see in every match a player, who plays against his former team the attidute roma fans had on zebina,
calling him monkey, throwing flares, bottles and other items,
combined with the attidute of players on the field,
wtf zebina wasnt totti for roma, zebina is the one to be blamed for their current position? what inter sould do for canna and what we sould do for zz?
stupid mentality, in rome its cool to be stupid,
del neri said "In my view, we won 1-0" stupid coach, stupid comment, roma owns the victory at this game?
doesnt comments like that put even more hate in fans hearts?,
we were attacking till we scored and when they equalised, it took us5' to win back the advantage, then we stood back and they had all the time of the world to beet us and proove they sould take the win, the ref didn t favour juve, the result favoured juve, the ref did mistakes both sides, we can ask a penalty on canna, a goal from imbra and clear red cards for totti and cufre, what they can ask? they scored by a brilliant pass, but our def was stunned because of the offside position of 2roma players, when buffon started running on cassano it was too late, did we argued then?
on canna's penalty and imbra's goal ,as they did?
we just got over it, played ball and scored again.
better have no fans at all, than having romas stupid fans,
i understand we u support them on this the enemy of my enemy is my friend, roma fans say we would prefer milan will win this scud not juve,
milan fans and players said roma sould win this game not juve,
but we, the GREAT JUVE,we dont afraid the numbers and the combined power of our enemies, we had a dif opinion, juve will win this game and juve wan, again, even if that hurts someone.
if the refs was with our side we sould have won this game 3,4-0, who could say smth(beside the roma fans who tolerate and admire everything) if the ref have showned the red card on spoiled totti and cufre, he had the chance to do it many times,
he tried to keep the game balanced as he could, for what?
to take a comment from del neri that roma sould have won this!!!
that gives him the right to do what ever he wishes to roma the next time he will have the chance

many switch to this team because of him,
not everybody, but there is a %

and if u dont like what he does u dont support him, how many roma fans u ve seen accusing their great and unique totti?

1000 are the 0,01% =>x=10,000,000 roma fans?!!:eek:
X - - - - - - - 100

i doubt roma has 10mil fans and that the rotten eggs are only 1000,
besides u never know what the milions would do if they had the chance and totti to inspire them,

i am afraid roma is totti for the great majority of their fans and they are very proud of him

ofcourse the ones who werent there cannot be accused, but the ones who were and did what they did, cant be forgived to just save the honnour of the ones who werent.
what roma did for that?
are 1000 roma fans in jail or even banned?
do u believe totti and the fans had dif opinion on what to treat on zebina?
