Erinomaista, excellent!! Now write this in Finnish to FutisForum. And DP was substituted for precaution, we need him against Real Madrid on Wednesday. Besides, Pessotto played well tonight!
Kiitos, thanks! :cheesy: I can write that to FutisForum.

Yeah, maybe the sub was good after all but resting Del Piero in a game of this caliber is a risky move. But I'm glad it paid off.

Here are some of my thoughts after the game:

- Am I the only one who thinks that Cassano is a stupid ass who should never come to Juve? He just doesn't seem very intelligent...sure, he's a good player but his mental side sure needs some improvement. Now he's acting like an ass.

- Am I the only one who actually rooted for Zebina? It seemed that everyone hated him - Totti was in his face all the time, Cufre tackles him like an idiot and Roma fans are throwing things at him and making "monkey sounds" when Zebina was near the stands. And actually Zebina played a pretty solid game.

- Are those Roma fans stupid monkeys or what? I haven't seen a more disgusting crowd in a long time.

- Am I the only one who finds Totti funny? Some of his antics in the pitch, especially when he thinks he has been fouled, are just plain sad to watch. Have some self-respect Totti and don't always complain. No offense.

- Why Capello took Del Piero out? The minute he came off Roma started pressuring and it continued the rest of the match. I understand what was his intentions but why not take Zalayeta out? After DP was gone our attack was literally non-existent.

- Was that the most incoherent game there have been in a while or what? Especially the first half of the game was madness.

- Was there anyone who thought there would be given NO red cards in the match?

- Hahaha, we won! :D

------------------------

FORZA JUVE! Very important three points indeed.
1. After this game, I would take Mutu > Cassano any time of the week.
2. Despite Zebina having to withstand all this agony, he had a brilliant game. Showed his professionalism by not throwing tantrums.
3. They have been stupid every since the day they were born. Remember the Anders Frisk incident?
4. With this sort of attitude, no wonder he gets 9 yellow cards this season and gets into a number of rows with many players. I can't bear to see him wearing the captain armband of the Italy NT.
5. Capello intended to put the score to 2 - 1. Roma is a very dangerous attacking team. + DP is small size and his chances of getting injured is > Zalayeta. Besides Capello needs him for the home game against Real. Moreover Zalayeta is big-sized and not easily injured if he were to be massacred by the Roma players. Even if he is injured, it isn't that bad compared to DP being injured.
6. I have to say yes.
7. As I said earlier, the referee seemed inferior to the Roma players and fans, especially after the PK is given to us.
8. Anyway we won, congrats.

cassano is good and he is always playing with passions and this is exactly what can make him a juventus style player

Good arguments. Probably Roma would have pressured us even when DP would've been on the field the rest of the game. It just seemed that immediately after the sub Roma started having the upper-hand.

I'm glad that so many people have noticed the same things about Roma fans, Totti and Cassano as me.

Like I have said earlier, that boy needs a psychiatrist. Based on this display, I'd rather have Mutu than Cassano. No offense, but it seems that team does a lot to players in the wrong manner.

- Am I the only one who actually rooted for Zebina? Let's face it, Zebina's not really been the best this season, but who cares? When he needed to put up, he put up, and that is what matters, nothing else.

- Are those Roma fans stupid monkeys or what? I haven't seen a more disgusting crowd in a long time.
They are. No mistakes about that. IMO the club should play to empty stand for a while (except the Milan game of course, is it in Rome?) so they'll realise the error of their ways.

- Am I the only one who finds Totti funny? Some of his antics in the pitch, especially when he thinks he has been fouled, are just plain sad to watch. Have some self-respect Totti and don't always complain. No offense.
And they say he's better than DP! He's younger yes, which means some of the skill is there in greater abundance, but for crying out loud, he has a very poor mentality, and it showed again today, just like it showed in abundance at Euro 2004.

- Why Capello took Del Piero out? The minute he came off Roma started pressuring and it continued the rest of the match. I understand what was his intentions but why not take Zalayeta out? After DP was gone our attack was literally non-existent.
I disagree. I think that on seeing the Romanista, Don Fabio decided that they were rubbish (true) and decided to rest Il Capitano for Wednesday.

- Was that the most incoherent game there have been in a while or what? Especially the first half of the game was madness.
We all expected it.

- Was there anyone who thought there would be given NO red cards in the match?
No.

- Hahaha, we won! :D

Thuram was absolutely fantastic tonight, some amazing tackles and composure on the ball.

Cannavaro was also great.

Emerson showed the Roma fans just what they are missing with a class display in midfield.

In fact I thought the whole team, on the whole, played well. Camo, Zlatan, and DP were also very good. Camo particularly.

Zlatan's disallowed goal was a great goal, at times he seemed to lack the will to fight, but he did well (along with Zalayeta) in the second half especially as they were isolated up front and often had to go it alone.

I thought Capello's decisions were slightly strange, I realise Roma were attacking more and we needed to defend, but his choices seemed to place us on the back foot and the final half an hour was extremely nervy and it was all Roma - except when Zlat and Zalayeta launched counter attacks.

My only gripe is the fact that we appeared to 'hang on' for the final 30 minutes - Capello must have a very strong heart (or enjoy torture) because I nearly had a heart attack on several occasions.

Juve are a team who should dictate games to other teams, yes you expect some all out pressure at the very end, but not for what appeared to be the whole of the second half. Had Roma equalised, it would have been likely that they would have gone on to win the game because all attacking emphasis and pressure was with them.

I am very pleased with the win, I just wish Juve would sometimes win with a bit more style - they were much better than Roma in the first half, but all the media will remember is Juve hanging on with some desperate defending in the second half. They seem to have a 'protect what we have' mentality at times, and it can (and has) back fired on us before.

In the end we got lucky and survived, but I don't think it needed to have been that way.

Difficult match today and we pulled through with a victory. We were able to score a goal off our first chance of the match, something I hope we can do against Real on Wednesday. Neither team took control of the match, and the referee seemed to be doing the most work out there. With all the fouls and stoppages of play Roma could not get their flow going, so in a way the madness of the match helped our cause. I don't think we were all that great in attack, however we created enough chances and finished them off, something we have been struggling to do in the past few weeks.

In the first half you could not even string three passes together before having the ref blow the whistle for an infraction, while in the second half Roma was able to take the game to us but we held them up nicely. After Del Piero's penalty we sat back, especially in the second half, however our defense held strong most of the time. We clogged up the middle of the pitch and Totti could not do anything, especially since he was trying to do it all by his lonesome. There were some scary moments for our defense but we were able to cope well and luckily Roma could not capitalize.

Capello decided to field three strikers for this match and it was certainly a good move. The interchangable 4-3-3 and 3-4-3 with Zambrotta on the left seems to be our most threatening formation, and Capello decided to take off Del Piero in favor of Pessotto to sure up the defense and rest Alex before the Real match on Wednesday. It was risky business but it worked out in the end.

Buffon made some good saves, especially a few close range efforts.

Zebina was surprisingly good this match and decided to play hard against his former side. He made a few rash tackles and bad clearances, however he did not make any threatening mistakes and looked okay going forward. He was able to contain Totti a few times, something that I was not expecting. Well done by Zebina tonight.

Thuram was incredible tonight, making a last-ditch tackle on Montella which would probably have ended in a goal. Lilian was solid and saved us many times from moves by Cassano, Totti and co. Thuram's composure on the ball is absolutely world class.

Cannavaro was very solid as well, and he was able to bag his first goal for Juventus tonight. He was able to shut down Montella time and time again. Although Il Aeroplano was sputtering through the entire match, making a fool of himself being caught offsides at least 8 times.

Zambrotta made some nice runs up the left flank in the first half and was solid defensively.

Camoranesi was lively in the first half and played very well tonight. He created numerous chances for us and sent in the free kick for Zlatan to head on to Fabio for our first goal. Camoranesi continues to be one of best players this season.

Emerson was solid and helped shut down Totti nicely. The Roman and Captain and fans gave Emerson a lot of harsh treatment, however Emerson did not look too much into it and focused on his own game. Played quietly, but played very well, doing all the little things that never get noticed.

Blasi was horrendous tonight. He gave the ball away for Cassano in the first half, leading to Roma's goal. When the ball comes to Blasi you sense that he is not comfortable handling it, and that is seen when the ball bounces off his foot everytime he tries to trap it, not being able to control it at all. Blasi can run and tackle with the best of them, however his touch is not good enough for Juve's midfield.

Zalayeta was good tonight and made a few nice moves, especially creating Del Piero's penalty.

Ibrahimovic seems to be in a rough period as he did not look good enough tonight. He made a few nice plays but gave the ball away too much, especially with his horrid passes. Zlatan needs to improve his passing, deseperately. Although he did start and finish up a good goal that was wrongfully disallowed.

Del Piero was good tonight and looked confident, pushing aside Cufre and getting on with business. I actually saw some fire and passion in our Captain tonight, and I love seeing that from him. His penalty was a rocket of a strike, the winning goal of the match.

Pessotto came on and sured things up in midfield.

Trezeguet made his first appearance in a few weeks, so that is good news.

On Wednesday we will need the same stuff out of our boys, except less mistakes. We need to score an early goal like we did tonight.
