Maybe I'll get slated for this, but is it just me, or was Ascoli's defending awful? Every one of the three goals was scored in acres of space. No one was picking up the strikers, no one was closing down. While DP was taking a minute to bring that ball under control, the Ascoli defenders just stood there with their mouths open like gobshites. Maybe I'm turning into Alan "abysmal defending" Hanson in my old age, but if I'd been managing that pile of half-wits, the throbbing veins on my neck and forehead would have been visible from space.
