all we have to do is put a rumour in the gazzetta that we want him, and then inter will come in with 15 million euro, and voila, inter are stuck with good ol' craig.

Agüero Will Not Be Going To Italy - Cerezo

Atlético de Madrid president Enrique Cerezo has stated that there is no chance that Sergio Agüero will leave, despite reported interest from Inter.

Los Colchoneros' supremo was adamant that the Argentinian starlet would become one of the world's best players and that he would achieve that with Atleti.

Interest from Inter and links to other clubs cuts no ice with Cerezo and believes that Agüero is settled in the Spanish capital and will stay with the club for many years.

"Agüero is an Atlético player and will be for many years. Besides, he prefers Madrilenian food to spaghetti," he joked.

"The things about him is there is a feeling. He is very happy in Madrid and although Italy is not far away, the difference between the two countries is huge.

"Here he knows that he will have no prblems, so it is better that he stays calm and continues what he is doing; playing and scoring goals."

Cerezo was then asked about Agüero's buy-out clause and he was confident that it is high enough and that the club's fans need not worry.

"I think economics is being focussed on too much when we shold be talking about sport," he continued.

"We signed Agüero because we felt he was a little different from the rest and we produced a contract that was in line with that and of course we will not let him go.

"He is a marvellous player and is on his way to becoming one of the best in the world and he can do that here."

Finally, Cerezo reflected on the criticism the club received when Agüero was signed last year and was quick to point out that he always had faith.

"Nobody remembers now, but I assured everyone a year ago that Agüero was a genius and would be a big star one day," he stated.

"He needed a season to adapt and now we are seeing how much he is enjoying his football.

"He has completely won me over because he has not lost his innocenceas he was able to win the Under-20 World Championships and then still go back to playing Playstation games. He is special because he never stops smiling."

well now we know for sure Aguero is leaving.

He won't stay there forever. Atletico Madrid are a midtable club. Aguero is a player that will want to play for a big team. And that desire may come sooner than later.

don`t quite sure I really want to see him here
I would prefer us to buy Diego and play Giovinco as DP`s successor

Atletico is not a midtable club anymore.

forwards are the last thing the club should be looking at. Iaquinta and Palladino should already be playing and add trezeguet and del piero..plus giovinco in the future.

defence and midfield requires attention....

Cocky Aguero upsets Almeria players
tribalfooball.com - November 13, 2007

Almeria's players were left fuming with Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero at the end of Sunday night's 0-0 draw.

At the final whistle, Aguero reportedly complained: "How can we lose two points to such a team?"

Upon hearing the comments, several Almeria players confronted Aguero, including defender Jose Ortiz.

Aguero, refusing to back down, snapped back: "Ortiz? Who is Ortiz?"

Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo admitted the bust-up did occur when interviewed after the match: "We do not like this type of behaviour. We're a modest team, but deserve respect."

Get him to Juve ASAP

It is a little disrespectful , but i sure would like to hear those kind of comments when we play against Milan , inter etc.
