Buffon is one of a kind player and arguably the greatest goalie of all time. also that was the season everyone in the market was going crazy and we sold zidane so we had the means to sign such a player.

motherfcuker, 2 years ago when we had the cl money and were doing quite well in the league we had to BORROW money from the next year budget to sign melo. and that was only a 20 million deal.

now you are telling me this team suddenly is going to splash 45 million on one player, not including his wages, when we still have high wage players like amauri, iaquinta, grygera and martinez in the team?

For starters we were told/given supposedly a large transfer budget a month ago. Whether or not that sum included the potential sale of certain members remains to be seen. Thus far we still have a chunk left so why wouldn't we spank it on or at least most on one player? I don't believe Aguero will be ours and to be quite honest, nor do i come in here with my cock my hand every time I enter this thread unlike others. What ever or who ever we decide to invest this money on before the deadline closes doesn't bother me, as long as he sticks in a good shift and do us proud.
