"Following news reports claiming an arrangement had been reached between Corinthians and striker Carlos Tevez, the president Andrés Sánchez is keen to come forward to clarify that Manchester City have not accepted the proposal by Corinthians," a statement on the club's official website read.

"In fact, the club sent a counter-proposal to Corinthians this morning that, due to the time difference, did not reach the attention of the board until now. In the counter-proposal, the Premier League club sought to change the structure of payment and the total value of the transaction. In addition, Manchester City also insist that Tevez gives up a pending amount with the English club.

"Finally, the president Andrés Sánchez advises that there is nothing concrete at the current moment with Tevez and that City's counter-proposal will be reviewed by him and his board."

Not necessarily.

You could sit tight and hope the Tevez deal isn't done in the next 48 hours, by which time the Brazilian transfer window will have closed.

That way you might even get Aguero a bit cheaper as Man City may not being going for him.

It would be a gamble, though.

Isn't too late though ? Talks with Rossi's agent are scheduled in the upcoming days.

there's something fishy about City's actions, they obviously want to keep Tevez the sneaky fuckers haha.

48 hrs? I doubt we do anything in that time frame, I was hoping for this week but the way things are going who knows, could go down to the end of the Euro transfer window.... when is that anyway?

Can some good soul (or a bad one) enlighten me about the assumption that if Tevez is not sold to Corinthians, he won't be sold at all? Any reason for this line of thinking?
What other teams have come forward and shown an interest?

And it doesn't matter if Tevez is sold late in the transfer window from Juve's point of view, because things with Aguero will probably be decided soon.

Of course, Man City could sign Aguero before selling Tevez, but that doesn't sound all that likely from what I have read.

Still, all this is guesswork.

Im sure there are teams out there lerking that could possibly jump in.... Maybe Barca? lol they are getting Sanchez but what if they changet their mind and go for Aguero to team him up with Messi his friend? I don;t know how realistic that would be but who knows.... What about Inter? Im worry that they could try to jump in too, they've been rather quiet thus far.

I don't expect any big moves from Inter this summer unless they sell Sneijder, and I don't think that will happen.

I can't see Barca going for Aguero, if they haven't already made any sort of move.

then if thats the case and its between us and Man City I think we have a great shot as they are in a bit of bind with Tevez, the other obsticle is Real madrid but they seem to be quiet about Aguero, no real concrete evidence that they even made a bid, Morihno kinda brought him up in an interview last week but nothing really earth shattering as he used him as an example not a target. We could still do this, it will come down to negotiations and if we're willing to pay the big $$$$ but maybe with the Tiago offering to ATM it could be a sign that things are progressing.

One could even say chelsea, but then id like to think they would be more after a target man than a ss
