to be honest i am happy with Marottas stance here,he has given Atletico a very good offer but they have stuck their heads in the sand sand are trying to bump the price up by claiming other interested parties.
at the end of the day when there is only one offer on the table they will be forced to accept it

I hope you're right man, I hope Man City and Real Madrid are looking else where.

Citeh are the only worry but it seems they are more interested in landing Eto'o than Aguero,in fairness i am not convinced they have made any sort of approach at all and Atletico are simply throwing the name around in the hope we will panic and throw an extra £10m at them.

as for Real, they need to sell a forward or two first which they will almost certainly lose money on before they launch a bid for Aguero, problem is that i doubt Atletico would sell him to Real. at this moment we are in a strong bargaining position but Marotta is reminding them that there are other options for Juventus

Thing is, that Atletico know they are bound to lose Aguero whether it is to Juventus or City or Real. While we are well aware of that, we are also aware that Atletico had a firm eye on Rossi to replace Aguero. So Marrotta maybe playing an interesting game here, closing on Atletico's primary target, while they full well know they're going to lose Aguero, and they might not want to risk losing his replacement too. Might coerce them to come to the negotiating table and lower their demands closer to Juve's offering in the process. Also because it would mean not only selling Aguero to Juve but also freeing up Rossi again. Conspiracy theory maybe but could be an angle to the situation.

I read a couple of days ago that Madrid are willing to offer one of Gonzalo or Benzema in exchange with Tevez. I think this is the best scenario for Juve as the other two teams interested in Agüero would have filled their demands by the exchange leaving us as the only interested party. Theoretically.

I am not sure how true that rumour was and I am not sure how serious we are but this can be to our advantage to lower the price of a player wanting to leave.

I don't think we lost the battle for Aguero already, because if Rossi was really our target now we should've closed the deal by now. Maybe we just talked with his people to keep options opened, just in case.

    Wishful thinking :xfinger:
