Meh, with all that has been reported here the last few days, it would have been a done deal already.
First they wanted 45 while we'd offer 37.
the they wanted 40 while we'd offer 35 + a player
Now they want 35 while we only wants to offer 30+a player or bonusses.
If we wanted to offer 37 first, then why not 35 now? This all seems not logical to me.
I wonder how reliable all the sources from our guru's are and how cvlose he really is.
My thoughts exactly and that's why I'm so sceptical about this. If you ask me, I doubt Atletico will budge for anything less than his buyout clause, perhaps for 40m, and rightfully so. There are players who couldn't shine Aguero's boots were sold for 35m.

Not necessarily true. If we truly are the only club after him, they need the money and I can see them budging. EPL punks can bid all they like, but he has said (and his agent) that he doesn't want to go to England. Athletic Madrid can try and be firm, but if he wants to leave this summer and we are the only club after him, then they will have to be flexible.

Its not like Juve, Real, Chelsea, Shitty, Manure, Barca, Bayern and Lecce are after him to start a bidding war...he has narrowed it down himself along with his president. It seems pretty cut and dry.

All that stands but tommorow Moratti could fax an offer of 45m and we're screwed. Aguero is a hot commodity and even if there's lack of interested parties now, which doesn't necessarily have to be true, that can change in a second.

There's also the option of Atletico simply giving him a new contract for another season and with it a higher buyout clause. Just cause he's eager to leave doesn't mean he will(Fabregas). It's Aguero, one of the most talented footballers in the past 5 years, he costs what he costs. You don't bargain for him like he is some average player.

IMO, this bargaining could blow up right in our face.

Isn't the main meeting between Marotta and Atletico's GD on Tuesday?

As far as I understand, that's when we will know more and everything said in the meantime related to our offer and Atletico's demand is only speculation.

I guess Mark was right after all. Nothing will be concrete by Sunday as most here reported.

I know it could change in a second, that's why we need to seal this asap. Who knows, maybe Kun is really set to play for Juventus and no one else. We don't really know because we haven't heard a peep from him. Was it a BS quote when he said Del Piero was his idol? I mean, he has big shoes to fill should he come here and if I were him I would be excited to take over for Ale and prove myself...make a legacy. He can't really do that at Inter. It wouldn't be like him taking over for Zanetti at Inter.

I still think, money aside, we have more to offer him long term...maybe not financially right away due to financial restrictions and obviously not the CL next season...but we could very well give him the right environment to have him play as long as Ale did.

They already did. :shifty:

They were the first, remember?
I mean the official announcement. Aguero could be at the Juventus HQ holding a Juventus shirt in his hands with Marotta standing beside him looking east and west at the same time, and it wouldn't mean shit until FSC give the official announcement.
