if that was coming from Moggi or Galliani's mouth, I'd bet anything on it being a smokescreen ... with Marotta, I don't know ... my point is, you better pray he is playing the media cuase if the guy thinks he has time on his hands he is in for a major surprise.
he might just be trying to get the pressure off him in order to have regular negotiation processes.

i see the wages as a means to attract those big name players, but then again us not competing in europe won't affect negotiations for transfer fees.
being desperate to get back to the top, in a hurry to appease the fans with a high profile signing and that public announcement of having 70 mil, not counting revenue from sales, will not help you at all in negotiations ... not sure how much damage they could do but sure won't help one bit.

Add to that the possibility of having to compete with Man City and/or Chelski for Aguero, which becomes more and more likely as time goes by and ...

No other team is going to complete this signing in the next 2-3 weeks trust me. I'm more than sure that the Torres transfer was discussed a long time before he signed even though it seemed instant. However, as shown by the carrol transfer if yo overpay you can finish a transfer in a matter of days

it wasnt a public announcement. we are a publicly traded company. a shareholders meeting that turnsout on an infusion of cash is something that has to be told in the media.

not seeing the difference. :)
I am aware that Juve is a PTC and that's what I was referring to in the previous post ... wasn't implying they were stupid for not keeping their cards to themselves

So news leaking out yet for Monday morning sneak peaks?
I'll give you my own guruing Cam!
We will meet with Sergio's entourage next week, our offer is going to be good, real good, but Aguero won't be interested in joining us, and he would rather join Real Mardid, and in the end he will end up with Chelsea somehow. Half of the forum will end up with depression including me. Then Marotta will focus on Rossi, and will overpay for New Jerseys fist pumping finest, and the other half of the forum is going to end up into depression (The Italian hating half). Meanwhile, Licht and Bastos deals would be still bending due to 1-2 million difference, but Marotta will come on top victorious and close both deals :weee:

Lionel Messi wants Juventus target Sergio Aguero at Barcelona - reports
Despite the Turin giants confirming they are set to hold talks with the Atletico Madrid man, Spanish reports claim the Camp Nou outfit are ready to enter discussions too

Juventus are set to meet Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero's representatives to discuss a transfer next week, as confirmed by Giuseppe Marotta, but Spanish and Italian reports suggest Barcelona are keen to land him.

Il Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport both report Spanish sources claim Lionel Messi is trying to convince his side, and Argentina team-mate Aguero, 23, to come together.

The Ballon d'Or holder is said to be eager to join forces with his compatriot and form a sesational partnership at Camp Nou next season.

Atletico have already added pressure on the forward to decide what he wants to do within the next two weeks as they are keen on planning for next season and they want to know whether they can count on him.

Despite the reports of a possible late surge by Barcelona, who are still keen on closing a deal for Udinese's Alexis Sanchez - also wanted by Manchester City, Juventus seem in pole for Aguero.

Giuseppe Marotta already confirmed he is "a player liked" by the Italian giants and will be meeting the player's representatives next week.

Villarreal's Giuseppe Rossi is also a target for Juventus, but Aguero would appear to be a priority. To land him though, they would need at least €45 million so they can meet Atleti's buy-out clause and start concrete talks with the Spanish side.

Aguero is tied to the Vicente Calderon club until 2014.

Rumour probably started off the picture he posted with him & Messi on Twitter.

If Barca is signing Sanchez, Man city will go for Aguero and will pay him 45 mln and higher salary. but we can compete with Man city
but if Barca fail to sign Sanchez THEN HERE WE GO MAROTAA
