Amauri in the deal would be better than diego...but again, if diego is going to be played on a wing, or as a support striker...whats teh point in keeping him?

I agree that Diego is quality but IF WE PLAY 4-4-2
than we have DP Diego Giovinco and Iaquinta capable playing that role while the first two definetely going to be the ones who play most games while the others not so much (SS role)

SS is not Diego`s best role
If we get Aguero than we have Aguero getting the nod for most games while DP and Diego as 2nd choice one of them will be wasted
Since we won`t sell DP (we won`t get good money for him+ he is an icon+ he is better suited for this role than Diego) that leaves Diego
Diego will be wasted most of the time and his value will drop eventually he will ask for a transfer and we would be selling him for 12M at best

There is no point keeping both DP and Diego if we buy Aguero so...
There are 3 options
1) Sign Aguero who is much better at this role
2) Keep Diego and hope he will over perform at this role
3) Sign Aguero and use him as a striker (not a SS) not his best position and play Diego next to him as a SS (not his best position...)

Now you tell me what sounds better to you

Diego is a great player im pretty sure he can adapt to different roles. If we buy Aguero we need to keep Diego.

whats the point in buying and selling him in around a year? he has shown glimpses of greatness, Aguero can help that even more.

I agree with you about Amauri we should include him in the deal he can go clap somewhere else
