Is there something new? Why is everyone so downhearted here and in the wishlist thread that we will go for Rossi instead of Aguero. I hope even Marotta is not that stupid and he is aware that the first one is a smokescreen and nothing more, while Aguero could be one of those players that add something special to a team. I know this Agnelli has to ask his cousin for ice cream money, but the difference between those two players is larger than between him and our last Agnelli president - so in that sense it is something even John Elcunt can see. Aguero is also the better brand advertiser, recouping more if not all of the invested money on him and that is something John the fan Elcunt knows about.
So back on the topic - why wouldn't we sign Aguero? He said that his future will be resolved after the coppa anyway...

Mourinho: "Neymar is a Santos player, Aguero belongs to Atletico Madrid... Adebayor is at Manchester City, but perhaps he is closer because he was our player for six months," Mourinho said at a press conference.

"We should not be very distant from those names, but I am calm because we have a fantastic squad and we are in a very good situation."

Read that as well, but doesn't mean much. The only problem I could see is Corinthias offer for Tevez and his willingness to go back to South America. Anyhow it seems even this move would happen after the Copa so we would still have the time to close the deal on Aguero. If Marotta is reading goal.com at least that is...

I imagine we are our own worst enemy in this deal. If reports are to be believed and we're close to Rossi then we could potentially be signing another player effectively ruling us out of the running for Aguero even though he is very much still available. If this act of stupidity occurs, it could only be described as a "Marottaism".

Marottaism - an act of extreme and unexplained lack of common scene caused by the universe imploding upon itself and manifested as a glass eye

I dunno - i still hope Rossi is now the proper smokescreen he used to be talked as. We seem to be getting him, while Aguero doesn't want England and Real Madrid are the only option left for him. Not a great move for the fans of ATM, but given that their management would be gone in a few months they might not even care. Their president seemed convinced that Aguero will not go to Real therefore I believe he will give us the frickin' 3 euros and 45 cents discount and that Marotta can conclude this deal.
If we miss Aguero it is better not to sign anyone in attack and go for Hazard or a proper LW and LB.
Perhaps our management got scared that Aguero is too good and we can qualify for the CL next year? Then they will be in unfamiliar waters having to compete with the best teams... lets just stay where we are - we can always beat Parma...

If you believe the City rumors you have as follows:

1.) Signing Lavezzi
2.) Selling Tevez
3.) Can't sell Tevez
4.) Offer made so we hear, but nothing official.

I am sure there are more that I can't think of...so which one do you believe? As soon as a club with money is being reported as interested all of you just say, "well...that was fun while it lasted. I told you so"
Nice to be optimistic like this dude ...I'm also with your camp, hope he will be ours ...i like him ...

Note: My signature was the last term, i wish i can change it, but i can't :p
