I thought Athletico simply do not want Tiago anymore?
I think if he will be able to reduce his wage demands to 1,5m - 1,8m per year, they will take him ;)

Anyway I do not think that there is any option that we will get any money for Tiago if the deal with Aguero collapse.

It seems like we're searching for SS's but isn't that pretty much all we have? Who's gonna attend in the box except Matri? And if Matri isn't playing why would we even want to get into the box if don't have any player in there? I'm sure these are all stupid questions but the lineup presented (in the earlier page) feels like an Arsenal setup with everyone going after the ball and no one running deep or into the box. I guess I'm wrong as usual. Maybe someone could explain this to me?

I'm not saying that we don't need SS's but I'm not counting on Toni, Amauri and Iaquinta. Even if they stay I don't see any reasons why they should be on the pitch which leaves us with solely Matri as the only real box player. Yes, I know the rest of the strikers can score but... well maybe you're getting my point... although Quagmire finds himself into the box every now and then...

Toni and Matri will share that role.

Toni can play that role, of course. But what value does he add? Sure he had some good moves this season but are we sure he can provide them again? I don't want a box striker who might score a goal every now and then. I want a Trez/Inzaghi. IMO Man U won because they had three players who scored like every game they played and on top of that had a really good defense.

I too would prefer Quagmire on the pitch instead of Toni. Btw, how many strikers are we planning on having on the bench? :p I guess injuries will take care of this eventually and leave us as usually with half the team removed.

I'm starting more and more to feel like I'm fumbling in the darkness, don't really know were I'm going with this now and I don't really know if my point is a sticky one.

"I contatti con la Juventus sono costanti, la trattativa è ben avviata. Aguero vuole lasciare l’Atletico Madrid per trasferirsi in una grande squadra, in particolare la Juventus.”

Contact with Juventus has been constant. Aguero wants to leave Atletico to go to a big team, particularly Juventus

I think those excess strikers Juve are trying to shake off, in Iaquinta & Amauri, the sitting on the bench for a season wouldn't sit too well with them either.

I do get your point but I think that Quag & Aguero would be considered stay in the box goal getters just as much as Matri. They could do the role when called upon and aren't simply SS.
