If the choices are
1) Stay in a dying league by joining Jj to play under a garbage coach with no CL

2) Get more money than god to play in a garbage league with no CL or expectations

The decision is rather simple
easy choice 2, as then he can win AFC Champions League, then meet and has the possibility of trashing or bagel 6-0 the CL winner:cool: in FIFA Club World Cup (making CL expectation irrelevant in the decision)

I don't respect any player that wants to go to the Saudi league.

This guy is just a mercenary and not a serious footballer.

Total pass.
yup

utter disappointment

anyway, it might be a blessing in disguise for some: those who wanted rovella will get rovella

I hope this desert experience doesn't last too long just like China

This is too unhealthy for football if players in their primes are choosing to go play in the Saudi league especially for that kind of money.

I mean you can guarantee there are going to be more SMS like situations in the next couple of years. These players won't be making this kind of money in their lifetimes given the amount of money the Saudi's are casually throwing around atm.

If he goes there it is good we are not signing him. I cant respect someone who thinks about Saudia at this stage of his career.
what about money? 20m per season no taxes for 4 years vs 4 m per season no taxes for 4 years

80m overall vs 16m overall. that's a significant difference.
