Red Star Belgrade star Segundo Castillo has made a surprise revelation in announcing that he will be suiting up for Juventus next season.

The 25-year-old Ecuadorian midfielder made a name for himself outside of his home country and Serbia on the strength of a some strong displays during the Copa America this summer, but any Juve link had escaped the press until now.

"I'm going to Juventus!” Castillo proclaimed to Serbian daily Sport. I already made a deal with the club and I should sign a four-year contract on the 25th of July."

Castillo was widely considered the best player at Red Star last season, weighing in with eight goals during their successful conquest of the Meridian Superliga title.

our CM for next season? hmm... back in 2006, juve have only 4 CM in the squad.
They don't call Ranieri the tinkerman for nothing. Also, I think this is a definite indication that Blasi, Giannichedda and Tacchinardi are gone, and that negotiations for VDV/Diego are not going well for this window.

It also raises suspicion that we could play some derivative of a 5 midfielder formation on some occasions.

I don't think so. I think we'll need extra players to cope with the biased officiating. there will be a lot of suspensions to cope with because the refs will come down hard on us for any "foul" play.

Sounds useful. I expect Ranieri to rotate the squad a lot this season.
Probably, but I hope not to the detriment of Juve's standing in the league.

blasi and giannichedda defintely is out imo..
Rather them than Claudio
