He was never undisputed starting material but if you don't play him wide left in a counter attacking system, giving him space to take his man on then he's not going to do anything. Something we as Juve really don't set out to do.

Was at the stadium and saw his debut for Juve, in the home match against Bologna in 2007 in Serie-B. Remember feeling that I was witnessing a special player that would go on to have a wonderful career in our shirt. A new bandiera. But it wasn't to be. He can be blamed partly for this but some of the blame must also go to Juventus. I think part of the reason was how little faith we showed him straight away, as I believe 2007-2010 was his truly critical years in order to develop into a top player. Instead of sending him here and there on loan, he probably should've been nurtured the way we set Pogba up for the big stage. He did make a good impact both in Empoli and Parma, though, but deep down I think this wasn't the right path for him. Shouldn't have left Juve in the first place.

Anyway, it's all over now. Thank you Seba for trying your best for the club that you love, a club that never really wanted you before it was too late. And even after your 11 million transfer here in 2012 you weren't shown a lot of faith. Good luck in Toronto.
