I think we all knew that.
How does one sell a giovinco, considering he wouldnt accept a move before the end of his contract unless it had a simular wage ?

serious question btw
Conflict of interest.

And Zach, to answer your question, you have no idea what he did or didn't accept. Giovinco is a player with qualities that will attract a lot of teams, especially in Serie A. FFS just look at Giaccherini.

The timing of his departure suggests that we didn't believe in him, fine, and it's been a while that we didn't. But it doesn't make sense to justify letting him go for free by inventing rubbish excuses. Just admit that Marotta doesn't know how to handle these situations well without losing money.

always had a soft spot for him, really thought he could make it in juve. In the last few years it was clear that it isn't meant to be, so therefore mgmt has to be criticised for not selling him before his contract expired and recoup at least the ~7 mil which they invested in their own youth player.

Really hope that now coman gets his minutes.

I don't get why Italia 1 aka Milan Channell does that for Giovinco and they never do for the rubbish players they buy and overpay

spends 11 mill to bring our own player back only to then release for free :touched:
Giovinco was Conte's obsession. If there is one to blame, is our ex-coach

Its not football manager where you give someone a new contract and than sell them 2 weeks later! Gio is an asshole and so is his agent, so the contract he would have accepted would have been huge! Then we would be stuck with a useless players on a fat contract...again. So in the end marotta is saving us money by letting this turd leave.

But giac didnt nearly had Giovinco's wages. I believe there is the issue of players refusing to move on a much lower wage.
