Here we go again :sigh:

Agent: ‘Giovinco is angry’

Sebastian Giovinco's agent claims the Juventus striker is unhappy about his situation, but says a transfer to Napoli is just a ‘journalistic suggestion’.

Andrea D'Amico, who represents the Bianconero player, has followed up on earlier claims by determining that he is now ‘angry’ about his position.

“When he has played as a starter he always did really well, likewise in the national team, but then he went back to the bench at Juventus,” said D'Amico, speaking to Rai Sport.

“What more can you ask of a player that brings together experience, technique, class and creativity?

“The final word comes down to [Coach Max] Allegri, but it's only normal that when a player has these qualities and sees himself rewarded in such small measure, he will feel angry within himself about his position.

“In any case his contract expires in 2015 and from the beginning of January he'll be free to evaluate other options for his future.

“His behaviour has always been professional. His duty is that of training and always being ready, whether he starts from the first minute, in the second half, or for just one second.

“This is what led him to be considered a great player by [former Coach] Antonio Conte and the supporters.”

In spite of this, D'Amico claimed there was nothing concrete at the moment to suggest the player would move to Napoli.

“Giovinco to Napoli is a journalistic suggestion. They talked about it after the injury to [Lorenzo] Insigne.

“With Napoli there is nothing concrete and we, the agents, have an obligation to verify the concrete offers and counsel our players.”

 :howler:

His agent makes it so difficult to like the midget. I mean, he is a decent 4'th/5'th option, but his agent makes it sound as if Giovinco is some world-beater or prodigious talent that we are criminally under-utilizing.

Good for him. He wrecked Serie A with Empoli and Parma. It proves the point that he is a mini Cassano (both in terms of size and ability). Needs to be at a small to mid level club in order to be able to perform.

Can't hack it against teams set up to defend all game
Our first team players cant hack it either if we go there.

This is a weird argument. How he is able to wreck much stronger teams in a low level team?, but when he goes to those top teams he cant do the same?. He is with better players around him, so he supposedly should be even better. no?.

I dont want to sound like a fanboy, as we all know he has his flaws... but im pretty sure he is not as inept as people depict him.

His agent knows it's over. The management didn't bend over his requests and he's pissed off knowing he won't get a deal anywhere close to that only Juve was capable of offering him good money (3m per season :howler:).

It's time to move on. Investing time into Coman's and/or Berardi's development will benefit us more anyway. I hope at least one of the two will fire up and be actually useful. Giovinco won't improve by much if at all at this stage of his career.

The guy barely played for 3 years now. It surprises me the way he settled. An ambitious player would happily go to Fiorentina, Roma, Napoli or some other average team to again show his worth.

He just doesn't work at Juve.
