People still attacking him?

Why? He was never going to be the next big thing, so blaming him for not showing those qualities are kind of dumb. He was and will be a good squad/situation player for this Juve.
You should probably read some posts in this thread. Some people thought he will be Del Piero's heir and should be given n10 jersey asap.

Personally I wan't expecting much, wanted to give him a chance to prove his worth. Reality proved me wrong though. He is much worse than I expected. Yesterday's game was the drop that filled my anger pool. The ammount of time he fucked up in like 20 minutes was Serie B level. He can't even make a short pass without any opponent next to him :sergio:.

Some people put so much hope into this guy that they still refuse to see how mediocre he is. He has no business around Juventus first squad. All he can be in this team is a bench warmer who plays around 30 minutes a game. That is if we are winning, cause I would never put him on the pitch when we need to score a winning/tying goal.

So you are criticising his 20 minute performance as a substitute and are outraged about it, yet suggest that all he can be is a 30 min. substitute? You are setting him up is such a way that you'll NEVER be satisfied with his performance.

In fact, this pretty much sums up ANY Gio hater here. Nothing will be enough to make you happy. Everytime he steps onto the pitch, you folks are more likely to look for mistakes and hope/expect he fails rather than he does something good and hope/expect he does good. You are pessimistic by nature.

Seriously, just go kill yourself already!

For a guy who's a "bad footballer", you guys seem to put up these extremely high expectations on him. You'd think ya'll would be over the moon with the fact that this bad player is overachieving so much that he's our most productive player so far.

I know, right? Some people expect Giaccherini to play like Messi, for ex. Unreasonable bastards!

6+5 leads the squad in production so he's our most productive player in seria a this season, laugh or not.
Yeah he does, but I don't think stats tell the whole story. I'm pretty sure Giovinco has been scoring or assisting the second, thirth or fourth goal. He's barely involved in stats for the first goal.

I'm not saying he's head and shoulders above everyone or anything like that. He has problems too. But he doesn't deserve being called a failure or the constant shit he gets after every game unless he has like a goal or a very decisive assists.

And I'm sorry but I can't take that first goal theory way too seriously. As if being involved in the first goal makes you a better player.

While I agree about goals being consequential or inconsequential not being a fair argument, I totally disagree with defending Gio against the criticism he gets after every game. It is important to consider, that he off all the forwards is getting the most continuity and consistent game time, and in all honesty he hasn't always deserved it. When the load is such, the player is due and should not be above the criticism he recieves. A large part of our so called striker problem stems from the fact that Gio and Vucinic are incompatible, with one being inconsistent and the other whose just not used correctly. Gio for my money, at his very best is a sub who should be used against tiring or slower teams who wr can attack on the counter. He is not the level of player who can lead an attack, much less, carry it.
