Gio a failure, really? You guys do know that Giovinco is #1 in the squad so far in points this Serie A season? He has the highest production out of any player in our squad so far. Also he's 2nd(behind Vidal) in the squad if you count Serie A, Coppa and CL. If your team is nr 1 in the league and you're the 2nd highest producer in the team then there is no way you're a failure. Bias or not.

C'mon boys, stop listening to a hater like Zacheryah.
I agree with you, althought there is one stat that backs up the haters and naysayers.... and is that Giovinco has been given A LOT of minutes on the field in comparison with the other forwards, and to be fair.. he has been very wasteful in some games.

Still i really like his workrate

He has been given a lot of playing time because Conte wants him to play and he has had the fortune to actually stay healthy. Conte doesn't seem to trust Matri and Quag because he always seems to bench them and never gives them more than 1 or 2 games tops in a row while Vucinic has been injured plenty this season.

He has 10 goals after half a season and if he can get something around 20 that'll be pretty good for a guy who's a terrible finisher and was never a goalscorer to begin with.

not to mention this is his first season in conte's juve.

the other factor to consider is conte's team doesn't suit giovinco's strengths at all. how many times have we seen him play as the main striker while vucinic plays as a suppport?

yeah he can be frustrating in his finishing. sometimes his decisions making is amauri level, but all things considered he has done well.

I would like to see him playing wide in a 433. Is really tough for him to play and receive the ball having the enemy defenders breathing on his neck. On top of that he is definitely not on Del Pieros level on the decition making department... so when u combine this 2 things... he tends to fuck up some plays.

But still i also like him in the 352 when he is on his day... so lets say we can give him some more time, and maybe check how he fares with the upcoming strikers before giving more input.

Be interesting to see Giovinco playing with Llorente, as he seems a more natural fit as a partner for Llorente than Vucinic.

Llorente and Vucinic could be a bit static.

Giovinco is much more along the lines of the sort of quick, busy players than Llorente had around him at Bilbao.

it would be interesting to see if giovinco survives the summer market

There is a reason, why Lucio did not get so many minutes, because he was not as good as other defenders. Gio has been our best attacker so far, and Conte kept on playing him, in most of the games.

I'm not a hater, and offcourse giovinco has scored some. Most of those, where when the game was allready won.

When Vucinic was injured, it became very clear giovinco cannot replace him, he doesnt nearly have the impact on linking midfield to attack and create space and chances for others that vucinic has.
Many times, an injured vucinic had to come of the bench, to do what giovinco couldnt. Apart from one time, the odds turned in our favor the second he stepped on the field, while injured even !

For me giovinco, is a good sub when you are in front to abuse tired, stretched defences with speed and agility. And he's a proven goalscorer when we are in front. But he is no were near mirko's impact, when we arent allready ahead.

Do you remember Amauri and Iaquinta who couldn't be sold!
they were on 4.5 and 4 mil wages. no one would buy that shit.

Giovinco, doesnt nearly have a contract that good
