That wasn't some random shot from a distance. It was a great play by Padoin and Giovinco was all alone 9m from the goal with no defenders around him. A good forward can hardly ask for a better situation. Least you expect is hitting the target instead of some random fan in the stands.

As for the other chance, yeah the keeper did good, but the shot wasn't anything near "best attempt he could do". The 2nd Doria goal was from a more difficult angle and it was what you can call "best attempt he could do".

Those chances and Vucinic screw up were our best situations in this game. All should have been goals.

He was poor. I'm starting to think that he's indeed better as a substitute to kill of games with his speed, we should look for someone better to start. He's great at penalties, though.

That's true. What has disappointed me the most about Giovinco so far is his first touch and link up play, he loses the ball way too much.
