Great game, particularly great second half. After his goal he seemed to start to be a little bit more selfish with the ball. Keep it up Sebas :scarf:

We should use him as a RW every game.

Very happy about his performance. Indeed, a great second half. I noticed something about Giovinco that isn't stated enough. It's his crossing. When watching De Ceglie or Giach attempting a cross, I would feel very surprised if the crosses were good. It is as if good crosses from them were unusual.

Then in the second half, after Giovinco swung in one grest cross after the other, I noticed that I didn't really feel too shocked. It seemed very natural that his crosses were good, it wasn't surprising, but rather very expected. It is a pretty good indicator, at least for me, of the sheer difference in quality between most of our wingers and Giovinco. Kinda like watching Messi dribble past 3 players, you see it so many times that it doesn't really affect you. If Bentdner does that however, you'd probably shit yourself.

Come to think about it, he is probably our best crosser, and our best dribbler.

I find it amusing that there was/is so much criticism of this player when he easily one of our most skillful. Hopefully, he continues playing this way and earns his place at this club.

Anyone else notice how he's scored three goals the exact same way this season? Nord, and pescara the other two I think. Could this be goal a la giovinco? Maybe not, but I definitely like him a lot more when playing wider, and I think Conte is finally starting to agree.

don't think he executed a single dribble in the first half, even his delivery on set pieces was quite below par.
Yeah, in the first half things were pretty muddled up front in general. Definitely can't have both our diminutive guys up front at the same time. I remember a nice corner swung in to Bonucci, but other than that the set pieces he took weren't great. Although Andrea's were probably as bad, or worse, today...

Thanks bud, was just wondering. I thought he had a very good game, and that the 1st half performance was more down to the team getting settled in to the 4-3-3 (also the fact that Mirko shouldn't be playing CF, and I'm not a fan of Giacch up front when we've got Seba, and Pepe around).

Obviously Torino being a man short influenced things in the second half, as well. Anyway, great to see our local boys putting the hurt on the city rivals.

I was saying this since the start of the season: he's a winger and he'll never adapt to 3-5-2. He's just out muscled in the middle, plus he can't use his assets there. You could see his qualities tonight on both wings he was decent. When we couldn't do shit he at least won us two FKs near penalty area on his side.

Very good performance from him tonight. At least for once haters can't say he wasn't good enough. Tonight he was decisive, an assist when it was 0-0 and a goal to make it 2-0.

Our top striker. Too bad there will always be haters, but they clearly don't get what football is all about.

Forza Gio
giovinco was awfull, and everyone was calling him to be substituted.

after the half time break, he got switched to the other side where he came against a much less defender then the first time. in addition, he stopped taking on dribbles, wich he all lost in the first half, and started cutting inside for early crosses.

thanks to standing off torino defenders it worked.

The marking on the goal was dreadfull. just watch how closely barzagli, bonucci or chiellini were marking chelsea attackers near or in the penalty zone, and you see why that torino leftback was horrible

praising giovinco on todays game, you clearly dont get what football is all about
