I think he's a great player, you rarely find someone like him.

Problem is though, he's a moral player. But when he really wants to play football. Then he's one of the bests in his postion.

Of course not, but the point is Vuci scored some very important goals and could step up his game in the important moments. And Giovinco so far only showed us that yes, he can dribble, he can run fast but it doesn't help us to win games. All of his goals were scored when we controlled the game and were already winning. He offers nothing when it comes to open the deadlock, he looks lively, yes, but this means nothing in the end. For now he's good only at punishing already dismantled teams. I'm not saying he's shit, but i'm waiting till he'll prove himself as a first team striker, not a sub.

What attitude? The game against Catania he wasn't on the top of his game but he ran his ass off to press when we lost the ball. Then in a spark of brilliance he picked out Bendtner and we scored. I fear the games when he's not in our starting 11 because of the sheer mediocrity that's left in his absence.

i watch vucinic with zemans lecce yes and with roma under spalletti. he has quality no denying that just that with a better attitude could have been world class.

for example most games last season when conte stuck him on the left and pepe on the right you could see pepe running his lungs out for the team while vuci just jogs around with no defensive effort. also he tries to be too smart at times always playing the fancy pass more than the direct better option.

i dont know i guess im biased towards matri and i just think vuci could have been better than he is. but it ok i know i could be wrong.

Every now and then I visit these forums to check out the most recent updates, player threads, match threads etc. There seems to be this ongoing trend of giovinco fans vs giovinco haters and to be honest, it's getting very lame.

So far, out of the ten plus games giovinco has had this season, I would give him a 6.5. He hasn't proven that he is a great player, and he shouldn't be compared to the legends that have played for us. He has lacked in finishing, and has sometimes shown how easily he could be outmuscled. Having said that, he and Vucinic are our two best strikers by far. He does add plenty of quality to the team, and I think it's pretty obvious that he's been unlucky to not have a few more goals to his name.

I remember the days before he left to Parma, and he was not nearly as dangerous as he is now. He is one of the few strikers in Italy who can singlehandedly change the game. He is very skillful, and has plenty to offer us. He doesn't deserve harsh criticism by any means given how he has played so far.

Just stop with this childish bashing of one of our own, and give the little man a chance. I have no doubt that it is only a matter of time before he starts turning in some teemendous performances. He's already been our MOM in 3 or 4 games this season.

Enough with the criticism. Yes, we need more quality upfront, but Giovinco is by no means the culprit.
