2 years ago he got some playing time, but wasn't able to prove anything. This whole BS that he didn't get time is getting a bit too old and repetitive. Other than those glorified 20 minutes against Chelsea in CL, he didn't play at a level to be worthy of a spot in the team. People treat him as if he terrorized opponents in the few matches he played for Juve a couple of years ago, he was mostly average, nothing special. Any way, welcome back Gio, hopefully this time you live up to the expectations.
He was more than average, he showed some promise. And he didnt get so much playing time, especially under Ferrara when we went to that lame ass 4-3-1-2 where there was no space for him.

However, he played on the left in a 4-2-3-1 where he showed a lot of promise, I dont know why Ferrara didnt stick with that formation, we beat SAmpdoria 5-1 with it.

am I the only one who doesn't see Giovinco fitting into Conte's scheme and system? maybe Im completely wrong on this....
Nah man he's a perfect fit for both the 3-5-2 (as second striker) and the 4-3-3, on the left. He'd play exactly the role Vucinic has.

Lets hope the competion brings the best of them, instead of frustrating either or both.

Listen!

Parma plays 3-5-2. Giovinco is utilized as second striker in this formation but his role is very direct. He is a striker.

Back in his Juve days he was versatile and therefore utilized in multiple positions, most commonly as a winger. Playing a wide role as a winger he wasn't able to score many goals and since his job back then was to provide assists rather then netting himself he did not find his potential. Now, after a more than successfull season with Parma he can return, but using him as a wide player would be suicide - he must play a direct role with offensive duties primarily. He's crap defending and should only use his energy when we're in possession.

3-5-2 he's a Vucinic sub/rotation.
4-3-3 he's either on the left or the right but as a second striker, not as winger!
