The 'history' of taking 'jabs' (definition varies) at Juventus is highly debatable. I'm still waiting for some quotes from the little guy, the jabs I've read are agent speak that get amplified around these parts, and can take on a life of their own.
Relationships with agents are all different, maybe Giovinco trusts his agent and is keeping his mouth shut for the perceived good of negotiations? This agent did help facilitate his move to Parma, right? That's worked out well for Giovinco - Azzurri call up and all. He's paying the man to do a job, and he trusts him - maybe unlike Rossi, who's agent couldn't facilitate a move away from Villareal? (very different situations, but the player's perception is what's important).
As for expediting the process, maybe the comment is intended to shake things lose? A static negotiation that may need a bit of a prod, something, anything. Sending a message that Giovinco has certain desires/demands could clarify that side's position, and Juventus would have a better compliment of information, on which to base their eventual decisions regarding valuation, player utility, etc. Help our management define what the risk/reward balance is in their own minds.
Anyway, I'm visiting family in Victoria and have to run... Naturally, I'll be checking up on the fuck Giovinco thread later tonight though
