will only come if he is a big part of the plan and is used the way he wants to be used, now Rollie had it been any other player saying this hed get lynched out here. There's a huge difference between aspiring and wanting to be a big influence and voicing it as threats, this guys needs to quickly know his place in the world.
I would hope that all the players we sign want to be a big part of the plan, and want to know how they'll be deployed once they arrive. This situation is just tricky because of his previous time here, where his qualities clearly weren't utilized correctly at LM.

To the bold part, as far as I can tell, "he", Giovinco, didn't say anything at all man - I see a translation originally from Gerd (without the original) which was spoken by the agent.

What I do see is his agent playing the game; he's trying to create leverage, or expedite Juventus' decision. That way he can start solidifying other potential deals, and get his player in a comfortable position - cause we know Parma can't afford to keep the player, regardless of what they say, and with the Euros coming up the Mercato often gets drawn out. The agent is trying to get the player's future settled, so Giovinco can focus on football.

Oh, and as for any threats made via agent, etc., I'm not worried about any of that because if it's true, Conte will sort it out (ie. if they're unreasonable Giovinco won't be coming, which is more than fine if that's the case). Everybody here seems to want this guy to "know his place in the world", but that "place" changed dramatically this season, and he might get better.

Sorry for the long reply. I just don't really get worked up about any comments from agents, base very little on them; I've been a professional sports junkie for over 20 years, there's too much nonsense and tact in all of the game playing they do.

why is he given the benefit of the doubt it's not like he doesnt have a history of taking jabs at juventus, rossi came out not long ago to counter what his agent said. all this tells me is what i already suspected this guy has no cojones be it on teh pitch or outside of it, either by having his agent say what hes too scared to say or by allowing him to say what he doesnt necessarily agree with.
Moreover, i fail to see how you expedite negotiations by making demands if anything it creates the opposite.

Speaking of which, do any of the mods hand out infractions for all these "fuck Giovinco" posts? Aren't they against the rules of insulting players?
In the interest of transparency: I asked about that recently, and the reply I got was that we let it slide for loaned players.

Not sure I agree completely, but I think it's important for us to be consistent.

Well in this case, we need a rule regarding players out on co-ownerships!

FFS ban them already! It's getting out of hand and ridiculous!

The 'history' of taking 'jabs' (definition varies) at Juventus is highly debatable. I'm still waiting for some quotes from the little guy, the jabs I've read are agent speak that get amplified around these parts, and can take on a life of their own.

Relationships with agents are all different, maybe Giovinco trusts his agent and is keeping his mouth shut for the perceived good of negotiations? This agent did help facilitate his move to Parma, right? That's worked out well for Giovinco - Azzurri call up and all. He's paying the man to do a job, and he trusts him - maybe unlike Rossi, who's agent couldn't facilitate a move away from Villareal? (very different situations, but the player's perception is what's important).

As for expediting the process, maybe the comment is intended to shake things lose? A static negotiation that may need a bit of a prod, something, anything. Sending a message that Giovinco has certain desires/demands could clarify that side's position, and Juventus would have a better compliment of information, on which to base their eventual decisions regarding valuation, player utility, etc. Help our management define what the risk/reward balance is in their own minds.

Anyway, I'm visiting family in Victoria and have to run... Naturally, I'll be checking up on the fuck Giovinco thread later tonight though :D

"Next season the No 10 shirt atJuventuswill likely be free and it is a number that I like."

Remember this?

CUNT.
THIS and the lack of character is what made me dislike him. His size is irrelevant, there has been many great small players and one thing most of them had was character. Something Gio lacks, Maradonna who was the one of smallest players out there, had probably the biggest pair of balls than any teammate he ever had. If Giovinco`s testicles finally drop them, he is more than welcomed here
