let me point out the flaws in your logic:

so you say that an opponent will not double man mark giovinco, while he is playing for parma even though he is the only dangerous player

opposed to the scenario when giovinco plays for juve, they will double mark him and wont care about the other high quality players that are able to score without the help of giovinco.

i hope you see by yourself that this is not logic at all. in a team with many stars it is much less likely that they will man mark giovinco, simply because there are too many other dangerous players on a similar level which would use the numerical advantage to score.

There are pros and cons with a situation like that. In a small team, pros is that everything goes through you, cons is that you're playing with scrubs. In a big club, the pros is that there are way many other players to worry about which could shift the attention from you. Also your teammates have higher quality which means that a good action could actually lead to a teammate putting it in goal.

whatever @king Mirko; says in this thread don't take him seriously. He is biased because he loves Mirko a lot. He is also very good debater, he can win an argument even when he is wrong. :klikn: (alen).

I like Vucinic as much as I like Giovinco. We all know if Vucinic has an off day which happens very often the whole team is going to suck. At least that's what we witnessed this season. Just like most attacks went through Giovinco in Parma, same thing happened in Juve most attacks went through Mirko, from the left flank, Marchisio, Vucinic and PDC. That's why in 3-5-2 we barely see Licht doing anything.
If someone could provide us with better statistics like the number of shots on/off goal and ratio of goals, and I am also interested in pre-assists (that's hard to know).

I am pretty sure that Giovinco has better percentage of successful dribbles, and better ratio of shots and goals than Vucinic. And these stats are clear indicator, since both Juve and Parma played against same opponents and same defenses. One could argue that defenders are more motivated when they play against Juve than Parma but that's irrelevant.

We desperately need a backup for Vucinic. When he's not playing well, we'll need someone else in his place. With Ale leaving, Gio would make a good candidate as vice-Vucinic.
