Not sure why people are so down on his performance today; he was actually one of Italy's better players, just no finish (obviously a lackluster team performance - on cruise control for much of the game). I'm really not a fan of Motta in that role, he doesn't have that dynamic technical ability that's required (that area of the field gets so congested).

The midfield wasn't very good today - with the exception of Pirlo, who was :lick:

I thought Seba was very active, especially in the first half, and with slightly better timing on a couple of runs, there would be a very different reaction in this thread.

Honestly all this bashing is a complete bullshit. Gio was the "only" spark in last night's game for Italy.

The man gave that one through ball to Matri, that I've yet to see a single Juve player from the start of the season up until now manage to pull for our team.

Anyways people will continue to bash him for no reason around here (nothing new).

 haters :touched:

The fact that so many people are hating on him must mean he is doing something right.

Come back home oh prodigal sun and prove the doubters wrong
So I take it you hate Pepe and Boriello because they're both doing something right too I guess?

Giuseppe Rossi too.

Are you sure you want to stand on this particular logic?
I stand firm; my resolve remains unshattered :p

Pepe and Rossi most definitely; I'm never going to like them, but Rossi is a good player, and Pepe is having an exceptional season despite his obvious limitations, and the fact that he is a faux footballer :D

As for Borriello, he's doing alrite off the pitch, just not on it ;)

So from what I have read he did quite "good" but somewhat lacked the end product. Wasn't this his major problem? On Parma he can do it, but Parma is much different to Juve or the Azzurri. I have a feeling that in the end if we bring him back the same will happen here, lack of finishing from him.

Why do people come straight to this thread when Matri was probably the worst player out there?

Anyway, going by ratings and comments Giovinco was one of the better players yesterday.

I watched the game and he wasn't. He's an eye catching player and always looks 'involved', does the occasional nice thing, a bit of skill, because that is precisely his role in the team. In terms of production in the game not a lot, and he also lost far too many direct duels.

I'm not sure which ratings you are referring to, he received a 6.0 or 5.5 pretty much everywhere.
