IMO what really prevents coaches of using hims is in psyque and how Serie A works. The moment the guy starts to performs... tough markers will be used against him...resulting in gio being on the floor almost all game...and when he doesnt earn a free kick, he will be leaving the team open to counter attacks and so on, because he simply cannot cope againt tough attackers defensively.

I think his problem is that he is a one trick pony, which has a very good single trick, but cannot cooperate with the team in other siatuations, specifically defensive,.... like the likes of marchisio etc...

Anyways, i seriously think that he needs some more testing, because the truth is that he got rotten on the bench here and was rarely used

He could never get a starting spot at Juve for a long time, his height and the physical aspect of his game are poor. If he has a strong marker, he will lose the majority of the battles. Juve would never built a team arround him like Parma or Bari were willing to do. He would be a meaningful sub at best imo.
Better a meaningful sub in Juventus, then key player in crappy Parma or Bari IMO

Oh and while we are it can we throw this whole "he's too small" debate out the window? He's a winger/second forward he may not win headers but if he gets the ball at his feet he's 20x better then marchisio.

Agree, but its his choice to make
The reason why he left was because Delneri can't promise him a starting spot.
Delneri didn't use him as a sub either, i remember the preliminaries for europa leaguo and some other friendly matches we had, he never used him

He asked first team football, Marotta and Delneri thought he needed to mature a bit. He seemed to agree with that, as he stated himself than he hadn't developt in the last years at Juve.

i dont hate him
i had high expectations from him and he failed.
forget him
He didn't exactly failed. He just didn't take enough chances. We should mention this if we want to be fair. None of us knows what was going on during training and if he was trying or not. But at least when he took a chance he was at least ok.

Anyway, As it seems DN will be here next season too and also DN doesn't count Gio as a member of this team. So I guess that he won't be a member of Juve soon.
