So this whole thing about him being "too big for himself", how does it present itself?
His attitude. I think it has changed when all the fans wanted him to play but coach had left him numerous time on the bench, I think the frustration got to him and he has never been the same again.

no matter how you put it, the kid had talent. He showed that during his loan-spell at Empoli.
No one is arguing his talent, but talent alone doesn't make you great. You need right attitude and a lot of effort to use that tallent to its fullest, sadly Gio doesn't have that.

:agree: that's not even up for discussion, the key words there being talent and had. That's all good for a young player but now he's fast becoming something of an enigmatic flop. He should learn to take it on himself instead of showing resentment.

He had the right attitude, accepted a bench role with Ranieri (more or less), played good when he got the chance. The lack of guidance under Ferrera and Zac screwed it up for him, a coach is vital for young devoloping players, last year we had two coaches or none, depends on how you look at it.

Besides, don't think that Parma is the right place for him, he's been asked to do a lot and has more responsibilities in the results of Parma. The weight on his shoulder isn't making it easier for him.

At first he had the right attitude, but as time whent I felt that he wasn't happy about his constant sub position and after a while he just broke down mentaly.

And as for him not enough chances, there must have been some reasons we can't possably know because we don't have enough information what went in trainings and lockerroom. In my opinion he has no one to blame but himself.

And what do you think of him having too much pressure in Parma, how would he cope with it in Juve?

He could never get a starting spot at Juve for a long time, his height and the physical aspect of his game are poor. If he has a strong marker, he will lose the majority of the battles. Juve would never built a team arround him like Parma or Bari were willing to do. He would be a meaningful sub at best imo.

As a sub I would love to have him here, since in some specific situation he would be a very good asset, I don't think he is capable of becoming anything more to us.
