Giovinco thigh strain

Sebastian Giovinco will be out of action for a month after the Parma star suffered a thigh strain.

He limped off at half-time during last night’s 1-1 draw at Lecce and tests have now confirmed the damage.

There is a lesion to the thigh muscle, but the official Parma website insists “more tests are needed to ascertain the length of the recovery process.”

The former Juventus player has already begun rehabilitation, but is expected to be sidelined for between two weeks and a month.

It is blow to the Ducali, as Giovinco had been perhaps their strongest player so far this season.
