Giovinco should keep his mouth shut. So far he's nothing but a Palladino and he's likely to follow in his footsteps if he leaves. The guy has struggled with injuries a lot and a lot of times, he was dumped because of those fitness concerns, not just because our coaches didn't like him. We changed a lot of coaches in the past few years and if none of them saw a starter in him, then there must be something to it.

If you ask me, he needs to stick it out and fight for a place in this team. Just look at our other talents ala Nocerino, Micolli, Palladino, etc. They were all the next best thing yet ended up as fringe players in mid table clubs, because they were impatient.

I hope Del Neri talks some sense in to him, I can understand he's frustrated but lets be realistic folks, Giovincol is a long way from a superstar who can DEMAND a starting place in Juventus.
Let me remind you, that last season, with him on the pitch, our goals scored per match average was about three times higher than without him.

EDIT: And the news is from Tuttosport, so I would be suspicious he actually said those words.

It does make sense to give him space now more than ever. We missed out on CL, we dont seem ready to splash cash on worldbeaters. We are going for decent instead. Might as well give the already decent Giovinco a chance; he could turn into a worldbeater. We'd save some cash as well; there's plenty of other positions we need to invest in.

But V, who were the coaches:
Ranieri - who won nothing, he had a blistering season with Roma and that's all.

Ferrara - not good coach at all, beginner and a bad one.

Zaccheroni - do I really need to comment this guy with his 3-5-2 and taking off Diego for Zebina while losing 2-0 Palermo , oh yeah and playing Marchisio as a winger while having a fit natural winger.

If it was Hiddink for example I'd say that Giovinco doesn't have a potential for the big club (if we are still a big club) but with those 3 in charge I can't say that.

Giovinco: 'Juve'll regret me'

Sunday 30 May, 2010

As Juventus are again linked with Sergio Aguero, they look set to sell Sebastian Giovinco. “I’m sick of rotting on the bench. They’ll regret me.”
According to Tuttosport newspaper, Bianconeri directors are in Spain to discuss a move for striker Sergio 'Kun’ Aguero.

In exchange they would offer to Atletico Madrid both Tiago Mendes, who spent the last six months there on loan, Diego and €20m.

This all means even less space for Giovinco and his future away from Turin now seems certain.

“Personally, I have nothing to criticise myself for,” the talented youth product and Under-21 international told Tuttosport.

“I think I played well in the few games I took part in. While I was on the field, Juve were second in the table, then I was set aside.

“Juve did not put the same faith in me that they once did, but I really don’t think I deserved to spend so long on the bench.”

The 'Atomic Ant’ is one of the fan favourites, but barely featured once Alberto Zaccheroni replaced Ciro Ferrara.

“Now my dream is to carry on with Juve, but if nobody respects me here, then it is right to have a change of scenery.

“If the club doesn’t want me, then what am I still doing here? After two seasons I am not going to spend a third rotting on the bench, it would be pointless.

“If I am to leave, I think the club could regret not giving me another chance.”

Finally, the 'Atomic Ant' has spoken. I wanted him to confront the board like this long time ago. Either play him more often or sell him.

Giovinco doesn't need to shut up;the kid is frustrated and annoyed. When you are talented as he is, and you see worthless pieces of shit who contribute nothing to the team starting week in week out, it's your right to be angry and annoyed.

Coaches who gave him a chance? Who are we talking about here? Ferrara was as clueless as they get, and Zacherroni just guided us to our worst season in over 45 years, so I would hardly call them coaches with an opinion that even matters. Ferrara is a novice, and Zac a retard. As for Ranieri, he was willing to play a visibly exhausted Nedved in the twilight of his career, than give an opportunity to an up and coming youngster who had proven him wrong on more than a couple of occasions; so, excuse me, if I don't give much credence to what these coaches (each with a bundle of flaws) think.

I take that from the interview.

And about his fitness issues, fair enough on being injured for the last part of this season, but when we were winning 5-1 and 5-2 with him he was still put on the bench when he was fit. I don't think he's had a proper run of starting games at Juventus at all in his career to judge him fairly on so far.

We (the fans) are frustrated because he never been given a real chance in this club so what do people expect Giovinco's reaction should be ?!

And yes i honestly believe we will regret it big time if we let the guy leave. I've seen him play for a whole season with Empoli and am convinced without a doubt in my mind that this guy is really talented (unlike paladino, necerino and all the other crap youngsters that we had before).

First of all. Giovinco has, since primavera, shown far more potential than Palla did. Ever. Such an comparison makes me mad... Or rather sad.
When Palladino began playing senior squad, Serie A football, everybody saw that he probably just had mid-table-football potentiel. Giovinco is a completely different story. He shines. He shows that he can deal with it. And even more.

Secondly. It is had to fight for a place and/or a starting position if you don't get consistent playing time or are shown the right confidence and trust, which makes you really belieave that you have a future at the club. Makes you feel that the club wants you.

At last. You mention that all these next big thing-players ended up as fringe players because they were too impatient. That made me wonder if it really is the players who are too impatient or if it is the club who is to slow at making these players an integrated part of the squad?
