Many players in our squad have moaned about being 1st choice after a fraction of the bench time Seba has endured (IQ, Trez).

I'm surprised it has taken him this long to speak out. These comments are a plea to stay, which indicates management are shopping him around. Apparently the days of bad decisions are not over.

I really hope we sell him and he can become the great player he is...
Why? It will probably be at one of our rivals.

Lets just hope that unlike Ranieri, Ferrera & Zacceroni, Del Neri actually sees his talent and plays him. Unlike Diego, Gio can play in the supporting striker role. Although judging by his comments he'd be happy to play in goals.

Please stop fucking saying that. Ok if we very regretfully sell him, yeah hope he performs well as he has the potential to, and that showing what we missed out on. But he is ours, and I keep hearing the same above nonsensical comment for almost 2 years now, people wishing we sell him so he can shine elsewhere, how that will be better. FUCK NO it isnt, it is only if he does it with us, while we have him, before its too late.

At least they target quality players. Sooner or later, we shall inherit the mantle of dumbest big club; and to think that only a few years ago we were laughing at Inter for making panic buys and questionable transfers and acquisitions

Dear Signore Agnelli

We are writing to you as fellow Juventini to convey our feelings of deep disgust and contempt at the way in which Sebastian Giovinco has been treated by our great club, more specifically the past management.

We are Italians and we stand tall as a symbol of Italian football around the world. Yet what kind of message does it convey when we treat a young man, whose only wish is to play for Juventus football club, in a way that is more befitting of a child? What is even more worrying for many fans such as ouselves is that the players being used in place of Sebastian are not even Italian, how can we be the symbol of Italian football when we don't even give a place in our future plans to a player who is arguably the best Italian prospect to emerge since the likes of Del Piero and Totti.

You may now be asking yourself "best Italian player since Del Piero? Since when?". But as the following figures suggest, this is hardly a claim we make without reason. In 19 games this past season Sebastian has played Juve has recorded 9 wins,3 draws and 7 losses. It is worth noting that those games which Juve won were with Giovinco on the pitch either from the outset or as a first half subsitute in the case of the Atalanta game. Of those games lost with Giovinco the majority where when Giovinco was used as a late subsitute with the exception of the 3-2 loss to Napoli. Although one might argue that Giovinco has not scored enough goals, 1 in 7 starts, his contribution in terms of creating for his team mates has by far exceeded that of most of his teamates. Also when you view Giovinco's statistics for the 08/09 season this becomes abundantly clear. In the aformentioned season Sebastian started 14 games, providing 3 goals and 7 assists. Furthermore, what more can you expect from a player given minimal playing time? As proven with Claudio Marchisio, a player deemed to have less potential than Sebastian during their time in the Primavera squad, players improve, develop and gain experience through playing football matches. This is proven with Claudio becoming a valued member of the first team of both Juventus and Italy. We do not deny that Sebastian has played below par on occasions but is there a young player who can say that he hasn't gone through such a phase? Surely Sebastian's abundance of talent meant that it was worth sticking by him through thick and thin? We did so for Marchisio, even Del Piero and Pavel Nedved when he first joined Juventus. All these risks paid off in the long run, yet it is baffling as to why Sebastian is not being shown the same faith, or so it seems. Furthermore, Diego cannot be the sole source of creativity in this Juventus team and Sebastian adds that spark of creativity to the side on the rare occasions he is given a chance to prove himself.

As illustrated,Sebastian has been a valuable asset for Juventus on the field in terms of his technical ability since his days in our youth teams and will continue to develop in the future if given time and faith. Indeed his technical ability is not to be questioned but one may ask what of his heart? despite the fact that he was raised in a family of AC Milan supporters, he has never wavered in his affection for Juventus and has proven it in both word and deed. One only has to watch Giovinco when he is allowed time on the pitch, something which is all too rare, to see his hardworking ethic which puts more experienced players to shame. In order to succeed at Juventus you need more than just talent, you need the heart and will to be the best and never give in even in the face of defeat. Legends such as Alessandro Del Piero, Gianluigi Buffon and Pavel Nedved have proven this and have bled the black and white that is Juventus, surely we need more, not less, players like these? As far as we are concerned Sebastian Giovinco fufills and exceeds all of the afformentioned requirements. Yet despite his clear advantages over many of our other players in terms of technical ability and attitude he is continually shunned. What more must he do to play for our team? Has he not proved himself already? I'm sure Sebastian himself procrastinates about this all the time, he certainly does have enough time on his hands whilst sat on the subsitute bench.
