They are all idiots and suffer from the Italian Phobia of playing young, promising, Italian talent; they prefer cripples who belong in a retirement home like Canna, Grosso, Ambrosini and the like.

If we had a team who could defend AND retain the ball, a player like Gio would be cruicial in unlocking the oposition defence.

But as the team cannot defend or retain the ball, Gio will need to run and put himself about. Something his style of play is not really designed for.

Pedro / Bojan vs Gio....no contest. Barca's style suits such players. Since our current style is akin to chasing our own tales (Target men with no wingers, creative AM's without space creating full back and a defence that cannot defend) Gio or Diego for that matter will not truely fit. The trick Nedved had was that he could run all day, creating space all over the shop. Diego / Gio don't do this as their style is much more technical, therefore they need others to provide the width whilst they drift into spaces.

they scouted gio in man utd offical site ... just read :

Key Moment: Brilliantly brought the ball down and turned in one movement before flicking a glorious pass over the top to Mario Balotelli who curled in a stunning opening goal.

Strengths: A player who's always on the move with excellent dribbling skills, he's capable of producing something from nothing. He provides decent delivery from set-pieces as he showed when setting up Robert Acquafresca for Italy's second goal against Sweden.

Weaknesses: Improving his physique wouldn't do him any harm.

Suitability: He could play behind the main striker or on the wing where his blistering pace and dribbling skills would give any full-back a torrid time.

Estimated Cost: I can't recall any fees being mentioned and he may be hard to lure away from Juventus, but if anyone can, United can.

Look how anyone with with some sort of brain and knowledge in football thinks of our young amazing player that is locked with blind coaches and clown management people .

By the way this scouting report is not official but i think a fan wrote this .

The football world outside of the Juve powers that be can see the talent. He must get battered during the training sessions or something.

Agreed. If this little guy had been playing this season we would be reaping the benefits of millions of dollars from CL. But no....that didn't happen.

This is something we need to change though, as it is clearly not working.

No.

It doesn't matter if the team is attacking or defensive.

What matters is that the players and the system are compatible.
