I know what you're getting at.

I am always inclined to give coaches the benefit of the doubt over team selection, precisely because we don't know what is going on behind the scenes.
Well, our two last coaches have been so awful that there is no reason to trust their judgment about Giovinco at all.

Giovinco is, after Diego the first offensive player I would put in a starting eleven.
Really I agree with you. I'm just playing the devils advocate. It is a bit fishy though.

If he doesn't start playing soon, then yes, this summer we should sell him. (Preferably on co-ownersihp).

It really is depressing how this kind of talent has been wasted for the better part of two years.

He's 23 already and he's not a starter. Or not even in the plans probably.

If he wants to do something in his career, or playing for Italy, he should consider going elsewhere.

I'd like to see him start against a top team for once. All we've seen is him playing against Bologna, BATE Borisov and the likes. It would be interesting to see him against Maicon, despite the obvious (and harsh) criticism he'd get if he had a bad game.

That would indeed be interesting.

Too bad our disgusting coaches have basically wasted our answer to Pato and this Coutinho kid.
We've been linked to him for quite a bit now, and I fully support the signing NOW preferably with him staying in Brazil for a couple of years to develop as a starter for a club in a good league.

Ask Casiraghi, he loves Seba.
Casiraghi didn't really have many choices. He coached the youth team and could only select players of certain ages. His using of Giovinco only proved that Giovinco was better than the likes of Lanzafame, Abate, Russotto, players who aren't starting in their clubs at this moment, just like Giovinco...and Casiraghi just loved 4-3-3 he played this formation in any team he coached unless it's proved really impossible to be carried out. So he needed 2 attacking midfielders...

This is what Casiraghi said last year:" “Several players from this squad (Italian U-21 team of 2009) are ready to go to Marcello Lippi and the full national side in September. And if they don’t called straight away surely they will in a couple of years.

“Players such as Marco Motta, Mario Balotelli, Claudio Marchisio and Domenico Criscito are good enough to make it – but we all already know their names,” concluded Casiraghi.

He didn't mention Giovinco whichi probably means he didn't think Giovinco was good enough for the Azzurri. So it's not like Casiraghi considered Giovinco that great a talent after all. And it's not like Casiraghi didn't consider Giovinco because the latter wasn't starting for Juve because at that moment Balotelli was just a sub for Inter as Giovinco was.

Balotelli was playing way more than Giovinco and he was a regular up front with Zlatan. He was playing up front with Ibra most of last season and especially during the Spring(31 games last season for Balo). Giovinco was getting NOTHING out of Ranieri. Of course Casiraghi wouldn't call his name for Italy's senior team.

Giovinco was Italy's best player and he was running the show for Italy. He was Casiraghi's star and he made it to all the All Star teams during the U21 Championship here in Sweden.

"Sebastian Giovinco (Italy)
Livewire Giovinco was the fulcrum of Italy's attacks. He had a hand in three of Italy's four goals and his excellent set-pieces could have brought more. Fleet of foot and of mind, the diminutive forward was threatening on the right of a three-man forward line or in a deeper playmaker's role."

Sebastian Giovinco (Italy) – Admittedly a team with Ozil and Giovinco on the pitch would look rather odd, but a Team of the Tournament wouldn’t be complete without the genial attacker for Italy. His thrusting runs forward with the ball and excellent delivery from wide meant that the Juve man was always the heart of the Italians' creativity. Certainly one of the Azzurrini who could be expecting a promotion into the senior team for the World Cup in the wake of their failure to ignite in the Confederations Cup. He’s tipped to have a great future in the game, but needs to build on this performance by claiming a first team spot in the Juventus starting XI next season.

So, after Milan got Pato from Brazil, Inter will soon get their own wonder kid born 1992, Phillipe Coutinho from Brazil. Look at him! He's fucking awesome and under Mourinho this kid is going places. He's same type of player as Seba and Messi. Too bad our disgusting coaches have basically wasted our answer to Pato and this Coutinho kid.

But hey, while Inter think about their future with players like Coutinho, Balotelli and Santon we seem to think our future lies in the hand of Del Piero, Grosso, Amauri and awesome defensive formations. A few years ago I thought our future looked bright, but now? Get me Hazard or some shit, I'm getting worried.

Don't know about you but I'm a realist !

1-Going to serie B and never recover.
2-Appointing Ranieri
3-Having Ferrara for 3 months with no success
4-Having indolent board
5-Appointing Zaccehroni as a saver

Why should I be an optimist ?

I watched that u21 team in a few tournaments and Giovinco was easily their best player, every time he touched the ball the commentators on eurosport would cream in their pants :D

Giovinco was "The star" of the european cup that was played in sweden, he was chosen as "the most valuable player" in the Toulon Tournament (same award that henry have won when he was young).

Even in the beijing olympics i remember the chinese fans were loving him. If all these things doesn't prove that he's good enough to start in a team where players like grygera, molinaro, grosso, and others are playing week in week out then thats simply a joke.
