I mean , everyone one of us believe in him... but thats not the problem.

The "problem" is that when you have a player like Diego at your disposal, doing what he is doing, his selection before giovinco is a no brainer!.

Tough luck indeed.

Asking Gio to leave will be the dumbest thing to do....He is one of the most explosive talents in world football and he hasn't been given proper chance in his proper postion. He has been spending a lot of time in the bench. How can people ever judge him when they havent seen even 50% of his true potential.

Well i saw many posts in which people are like ready to swap him for Rossi or Cassano and that is not a good idea IMO cuz i think hell be as good or even better than these two

in with that formation of 2 DM, he would work wonders.

In your "???" position, it could be DP. Or put Gio on the left and IQ where gio is in that formation.

Im still positive about this, the season is long, and we will always need to rest diego, or god forbid, have him injured.

The Coppa Italia could be also a task assigned solely to Giovinco, for him to at least have some playtime..... and well, this time we will have a big squad at our disposal, and with some many games, i hope he will get plenty of chances to play.

It would suck to lose Giovinco after this season.

If you're going to play a 4-2-3-1, with the players at our disposal:

----momo - melo-----
camo - diego - gio
--------amauri--------

Why not stick Camo on that right side?

The problem with this formation is the whole 'we'll have 3 really good strikers on the bench'-thing.

Giovinco being a regular starter will throw Del Piero to the bench and I don't see that happening. So, I will say this once and for all: Giovinco won't be a regular starter unless Del Piero retire.

is this crap already starting?
I like Gio and I would love for him to be our next star BUT above all I want us to win
besides you can't play everyone, Gio, DP, Diego, Camo,... one or more of them will be benched
people here are always trying to figure out ways to put them all together but that doesn't work
there will be casualties, maybe I'm too harsh but if you want Gio to play then he just needs to be better, it's as simple as that
Gio needs to impress in training and the minutes he will get
for a regular spot he will have to be better then the rest
otherwise Juve will not be as good as they can be

I'm not at all worried about Giovinco not getting enough playing time. On the contrary, he will be very much needed this year, especially this year since we have shifted our formation to a 4-3-1-2.

This season, Gio will be Diego's direct replacement in our new formation. And whenever we have a serie A game that's close to a C.L game, Gio will probably start; he will probably start regularly in all of our coppa Italia games and he will definitely be given chances when Ferrara opts for a team rotation in the later part of the season due to exhaustion and so forth.

Lastly, Giovinco will just have to plainly and simply prove that he's good enough to start for Juve. He's going to have to make the most out of every single chance he gets and if he succeeds, I'm sure Ferrara will find a place for him on the starting line-up. And that's precisely what I love about this Juventus of 09, in contrary to last year's Juve where we all knew Giovinco should be starting but Ranieri was just too much of an idiot to realize it, this year is a lot different.

We know that the best team we have at the moment does not include Giovinco, and this really demonstrates how much better we have gotten after signing Melo and Diego. Instead of us needing to play Giovinco in order for us to spark some creativity into the team, it is now Giovinco who must prove that he truly deserves to be in the first team.

And honestly speaking, Giovinco is not a future prospect anymore. He's 22 and he still has a lot to prove, almost too much. Look at players like Rooney, Messi, Aguero, Fabregas. All of them proved themselves at an exceptionally young age. Giovinco only showed promise at the age of 19. He was still developing as a player and he still has many flaws to his game.

I think he has a lot of potential and I believe he could be very convincing given the chance, but I don't see any reason for criticizing Ferrara's philosophy thus far in leaving him on the bench.
