It was painfully obvious that CR didnt like him and had no real reasons not field at far too many occasions.
The same can also be said about DC too.

Only Marchisio was lucky enough to get more chances due to extended injuries of the older player and his ability to offer some decent defensive coverage!

I remember ppl defending CR, for a coach who encourages youth...
Even after all those months!!! Giovinco now, has sealed their lips!!

I dont think its going to be much better for Giovinco this year either. The team is obvsiously going to play 4-3-1-2 cuz we have so many strikers in the team and this also means that Diego will be the playmaker. He is also going to have to compete with 37 year old Nedved from the bench.

He should just leave. I have a friend who is a Barca fan and we usually watch juve's matches together. He says that Giovinco is the perfect replacement for Henry on Barca's 4-3-3.

This thing makes me sick. This guy is born and raised in Juventus, he is a future bandiera and he is so loyal to the club. He is almost 23 years old and should be making an impact on the field but he never gets the chance.

Giovinco should not leave and he wont! he said himself that he has no problem with Diego coming and im sure he hasnt one with Nedved either. It was obvious he wasnt like by Ranieri but under the new coach im sure if he is good enough he will play!

I think he deserves an extended run in the first team, and he should get it next year, as long as the coach has guts and is brave enough to gamble on him, and not use excuses like "we need players who defend better" or "with more physical presence" like the shit that was spewing from Ranieri's mouth week in, week out!

He can easily rotate with both Diego and Del Piero in a 4-2-3-1 formation, a 4-3-2-1, or even a 4-3-1-2. I think with the righ acquisitions, actually with the current setup we have (well maybe not :p), we can deploy any of the aforementioned formations.

If Nedved stays one more season, i don't see Gio playing much more especially with Diego's arrival.

Someone mentioned DC and only Marchisio with a chance to play..I think from all 3 youngsters Marchio was far the best player and deserved to play in starting 11 more than any other youngster..

.. bullshit. Giovinco by far is the most talented of all three of them and the fact the Ranieri wasn't brave enough to play him doesn't mean that Gio doesn't deserve to play for Juventus. I doubt many other coaches would keep him on bench after all he did on the pitch when he was playing, Seba was incredible this season, just in little amounts.

Forza Gio for speaking his mind and putting Ranieri in his place. Bravo for not causing friction earlier in the season and waiting till the coach was axed. He is learning nicely from his Captain. Now lets get a coach that will let him place some ball. The kid is great, still learning but great.

DC? He can't even defend. So it is still Giovinco who didn't get his chance.

he is too damn good to play on the bench, and with diego,i think he could still play, however yes,it will only depend on the coach..Juve could play with 4-3-3 too i think with marchisio, diego, sissoko on the mid and gio-amauri-camo/delpiero/iaq or 4-3-2-1 with gio-dp and amauri upfront, but i think the best formation for juve would be 4-2-3-1 marchi-sissoko gio-diego-camo amauri, wow that would probably rip plenty of goals for us..I really hope Giovinco stays and plays plenty of games..

The one reason I love Giovinco is not because of his skill but because of his character. If Balotelli has been kept at the bench for this much, he would act like some Militant in Somalia. Giovinco though kept his cool all the way. He looked pissed all the time that he wasn't being used properly under Ranieri and he clearly knows that he might find better glory elsewhere. Yet he always showed the excellent professionalism and loyalty that talented youngsters these days just lack. I'm hoping that he will have the chance to do great things in the near future because this guy is just legendary material in the making

Grazie, Gio!!

You confirmed what we already knew, deep down. CR obviously didn't want to play you after all season long saying BS that he thought you were ready.

Next season you will shine  :agree:

--------------Amauri/IQ---Alex
----------Gio--------------------Diego
-----------Marchisio--------Sisioko

----------------Amauri----------
-----------Alex-----------Diego
--------Gio----------------------Camo

If anybody wants to see Gio as a regular starter i think these 2 formations might be good especially the first one. I don see Gio comin as a SS as Alex will be a regular for next season also. I dont think the new coach will bench DP.
In the second one Gio will be a mere winger. In the first one Diego an Gio can play as RCAM and LCAM(not as wingers) which IMO will be best, provided the fullbacks can provide support in the wing. Hope we sign Motta and bring back Criscito.

I don't like these formations, and I don't think they will work either. We need to play to the strengths of our team, and these formations don't deploy Diego, Del Piero, or Gio in their natural/best positions.

I think Gio will be happy to get more regular playing time next season, and I really do see that happening in a rotation with Diego, and Del Piero. Del Piero can't start all our games, and neither should Diego. I see Gio coming on as a Sub in important games, and starting the less significant ones. We will be playing 3 games a week in some months, and I certainly see Giovinco getting his chance between Serie A, the Coppa, and the Champions League.

If we retain Trezeguet, we will have a strike force of Trezeguet, Amauri, Del Piero, Iaquinta, and Giovinco. However, since Giovinco is more versatile than all the aforementioned guys, I believe he can fill in for both Diego and Del Piero, whether it be in a 4-3-1-2, 4-2-3-1 (where he can be a starter), or 4-3-2-1 (where he can also be a starter).

Gio, Camo, Diego, Del Piero, Amauri, Iaquinta, and Trezeguet. What a wealth of attacking talent we have at our disposal, and with the possibility of more players arriving, not to mention our youngsters as well, next season promises to be an exciting one :D
