Giovinco has an awful lot of stamina. Does the writer of that article know how much stamina it takes to run with the ball the way Giovinco does?
Giovinco has said it himself. He doesn't have the stamina to both attack and defend which Nedved had.
Yes, Dribbles require a lot of energy, but u get a lot of the energy back when resting in between attacks. They are bursts of energy. And that is Gio's game.
But when you track back and defend, you are always running and have no time to recharge, this is what I felt at least. By the time you get the ball back, you feel your touches are heavier.
Thats why you need alot of stamina to do both attack and defend, something Gio can't sustain regularly.
