To me it seems like Ranieri wants to give him a rest after he saw that Giovinco is out of form.I don't know if you saw his last U21 games but he wasn't as good as usual by any means and looked exhausted.Ranieri might wants to introduce him when he thinks he's ready.Giovnco has a reputation to lose and the media would probably call him a flop soon if he'd disappoint.I'm trying to see the situation a bit more positive and say that he'll shine soon just like De Ceglie and Marchisio.Ranieri knows how to handle youngsters.

I want him to play aswell,I'm just trying to see it from a different angle.

The way I see it, he picked up a knock for the Azzurrini (therefore not on the bench vs Udinese), and there was no place for him on the bench vs Zenit - not to say never, but it is our first CL game after two years against a very good side - gambling his inexperience isnt something Ranieri would want to do. Of course theres always the possibility he would succeed, but football isnt that easy.

Which leaves Cagliari as a deadline.

I dont think its fitness etc, it hasnt been reported whatsoever. But it may be about bizzarely enough, something related to the contract situation, and the ameteurs perhaps are sinking so low to ostricize him for the negotiation. I hope thats it (even its too pathetic to consider), because I really cant phantom why he wouldnt even have on the bench for footballing reasons.

fathom* not phantom. btw, our atomic aunt must be tired, i do not think its a contract situation. both sides want an agreement, our board wouldnt be pulling a "moggi" like he did with miccoli. An agreement will be found, and if we didnt want him he would have been sold this summer or loaned again. Ranieri has made the correct decision thus far this season right? trust the man please

Ant* not aunt.

But I'm sure Ranieri has a good reason for not using Giovinco.
