I dont think its fitness etc, it hasnt been reported whatsoever. But it may be about bizzarely enough, something related to the contract situation, and the ameteurs perhaps are sinking so low to ostricize him for the negotiation. I hope thats it (even its too pathetic to consider), because I really cant phantom why he wouldnt even have on the bench for footballing reasons.
Actually, it might be worse that the stupid management is giving Giovinco a hard time on contract talks - he could hold out for Wenger, a manager miles above Ranieri in all aspects of the game.

So, that would be a stupid, STUPID error on the part of our team.

We have to be careful with this kid, and I'm not talking about pussy-footing around with regard to giving him playing time. Give the kid playing time for the love of God. He's a better asset to us than Iaquinta because we have Amauri on the bench to come on and provide the force.

Has anyone heard Gio talk about the contract? has he come out publicly yet? maybe his contract demands are too far-fetched for Juve to agree too, i dont know because i do not know the details surrounding the number crunchers, does anyone?

I think he will get his minutes against Cagliari. We need to rest Nedved anyways b/c if he gets hurt along with Camo we are going to be effed. yes no?

i agree that CR is miles away from Wenger but on the flip side i do not think CR is dumb enough not to play him. besides, wasnt it CR that told Secco and Co to keep him at Juve this year? I personally think as the season progesses and the more Gio trains with the squad an re-identifies himself with the team CR will increase his PT. As someone said, Neddy is going to need rest and maybe Gio can cover for the injured Camo.

Why CR is not given Gio a single chance to play??
when Molinaro always have a lot chance to play again and again
Just trust Giovinco!!

Is this the Italian League tradition to not have a lot of trust in young player
If a players is under 23 years old, they don't have a lot of chance and time played
Look in Marchisio, when he success and become a first team in Serie B, he still loaned out to Empoli and we bring Tiago and Almiron who are no better
Than Criscito just give 3 chances to play in start season and made mistakes against Totti while Molinaro made mistakes with all opposition players
And now Giovinco??

I won't believe it until I see it. And I'm not sure how Giovinco could cover for Camoranesi; he's never played right-wing.

It could be the (unreported) fitness, or the contract negotiation. Either way, I don't think Ranieri is to be blamed.. I know the man's not a genius but he's definitely not the kind of coach who wouldn't give a chance to a talented youngster whenever he can.

Let's just see what happens vs Cagliari.

I am pretty interested in the contract talks too - what is Gio demanding? The boy's a massive talent and we definitely should keep him but I hope it's not a case of him demanding too much - he's talented yes but talent alone doesn't make you a champion, plus he hasn't exactly proved anything in a Juve jersey in a serie a game/CL. I'm not a big fan of these things, I think if you're only entitled to expensive contracts if you've given something back to the team.

Gio doesn't seem to be that conceited though, so here's hoping it's something else, maybe he just wants to ensure that he's part of Ranieri's plans this season.

Time for calm as the season develops.

Remember, the season is going to become congested with matches over the next few weeks and months. Given the need to rest players, cope with injuries (I await news on Camoranesi's injury last night) and tactical substitutions, Giovinco will almost certainly play a part in the next three to four matches.

What was apparent last night is that only Alex seemed willing and able to take on and go past defenders. Pavel seemed way off colour, though he did an enormous amount of tracking back defensively. The first half performance particularly called for Seba's ball skills.

The time has come for a level of squad rotation that ensures that all players are kept fit, motivated and fresh. Secco/Ranieri will see sense. Of that I'm 100% sure.

Lessons will be learned from last nights encounter with ZSP and the results will bear fruit.

We await squad selection against Cagliari with even more interest than usual.

I too wanted to see Giovinco yesterday...

But on the other hand Ranieri could not just put him play yesterday without having any other playing time this year. I think Ranieri believes in Gio and we will see it. It will be just like De Chelie. He will play first in some Serie A game and then he will play in CL. HE is just trying not to put much pressure in him just as Milan did with Pato. He is our biggest talent but we should make him not feel that he SHOULD DO EVERYHTING OR HE IS A FLOP. Ranieri knows how to work yith young players, and he is going to dd ok with him.

In addition to this i don't know if i am very optimistic but i expect Iago or Ekdal to be in our first team plants after january...
