I think we should do a poll about what nickname we should give Giovinco. Anybody can put suggestions and then some Mod can add a poll.

Seba, Gio, Sebagol, Gionaldo, Sebadinho. I know they suck, just throwing out some ideas.

Giovinco wants Juve chance Monday 3 March, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Azzurrini star Sebastian Giovinco has stressed his desire to return to Juventus this summer, as he continues to impress on loan at Empoli.

The diminutive playmaker has been heralded as a key foundation in the Azzurri’s future for years and has been superb in his maiden Serie A season.

There have been suggestions that Giovinco will be loaned out to another top-flight side this summer with Juve set to spend heavily in pre-season, but the 21-year-old is determined to feature for the Old Lady.

“I really want to go back to Turin and I am hoping that I will wear the Juventus shirt from June,” he disclosed to Gazzetta.it.

“I’m dreaming of getting the No 10 jersey, but that’s already taken, so I’d like the No 21 – to mark the age that I have just reached.

“I love all the No 10’s that Juve have had past and present – we are always talking about great champions. But I don’t feel inferior to anyone, especially in my generation.

“I’m not scared of competition in the future, as I know that I have to improve and I feel ready.”

Giovinco certainly isn’t lacking ambition and is clearly growing in confidence with each week on the big stage.

“My dream is to win a World Cup and a Ballon d’Or,” he declared.

“But for the short term, selection for Beijing is one of my objectives for this season as it would be an amazing experience.”
