Juve to call back Giovinco? Monday 17 December, 2007

Juventus are looking increasingly likely to try and bring Sebastian Giovinco back from Empoli in exchange for Sergio Almiron.
Claudio Ranieri sent talented 20-year-old Giovinco to the Stadio Castellani for a season to grow as a player and he has impressed in the Tuscan side.
However, the man who went the other way in the summer hasn’t had such a good time in his new surroundings.
Argentine midfielder Almiron is at the bottom of Juve’s midfield pecking order and has even fallen behind the unsettled Tiago Mendes.
Whispers are intensifying that Ranieri may reverse his summer switch and try to cement the early return of Giovinco.
The Azzurrini starlet has indicated that he is happy with Empoli, but he would undoubtedly welcome the call back to base.
It is believed that Almiron may be less willing to take a step backwards, despite his lack of playing time in Turin, but he may be given little option.
