Juventus isn't in the business of giving chances. We are in the business of winning. When Giovinco has done enough to earn a spot on our roster, then he will get his chance. In the mean time we don't owe any youngster anything. Not even chances.
:lol2:

Yeah, that's really great management. Lets just toss all our youngsters around and treat them like pieces of fecal matter. That will surely build a fantastic squad.

Screw giving them chances, lets ship them out to FC Chernobyl.

How is he going to earn his spot if he doesn´t play? He can´t show everything just on training. I generally agree with you about the youngsters, especially about average ones but we really seem to have a wonderkid player in Giovinco.

I agree with tonykrat that many of our youngesters didn't prove themselves, they simply weren't good enough for us. It's hard to destroy a real talent, just look at Fabregas he was almost written off by Barca but he still become one of the most promissing midfielders, my point is that if any of our loaned players was good enough then he would succeed. Now about Giovinco many of you are saying he is an excellent player etc. and we should keep him. If we gonna keep him at the club and start giving him a more chance to prove himself than I say yes, but that is pretty unlikely scenrio, simply if he didn't get a real chance in B how we can expect something like that in A. But if we loan him and if he is really that good as we all think he won't any problems of proving himself and we can reacall him. I don't see nothing bad in it.

Good players will shine anywhere they go. If he does really well in Serie B on loan next season, than Juventus should consider bringing him in as a reserve or bench player. However, at that point I hope we will be in good enough shape to where we won't have to rely on youngsters like that. I think too many people get wrapped up in potential. Don't forget, bringing a player up too early can also kill a players career too. Don't be so quick to judge. If he is truly good, he will show us next season in B... A league he hasn't seen the like of yet.

Judging his Serie A performance seriously. He played 15 minutes for a Serie B superteam.

There are numerous examples that a players performance is depending on the surroundings. Does anyone think that Henry is a crap player because he did not shine at Juventus?

Obviously at Juve there are better coaches and better team mates to learn from than at the average Serie B club. Plus at Juve they are at home, it's often their favourite club, many of them have been here for years to play in several youth teams. I think that is a benefit.

Loaning him out is not per se a bad decision.

If he can get a regular playing time in a mid-table club, I reckon he will learn a lot more than just by trying with our boys. Let's be honest, he won't play a lot in the SerieA first team.

My biggest fear with loaning out players, however, is the fact that the club they'll play in will only be interested in the short term benefit, where we are of course interested in the long term. They'll try to pull anything out of the talent at their disposal, and will let him play when he's too tired, or lhtly injured. A thing we'd never do, for the sake of his long term health.
A lot of players came back of loan with serious injuries, or at least with big physical problems.

I think Giovinco should either stay here or go on a loan to a solid Serie A midtable team like Reggina/Livorno or maybe the best club for him would be Atalanta. Atalanta is famous for developing young talents and a move there would do him very good imo. Loaning him to Serie B club is out of question.

This thread is just getting ridiculous. Get real guys. The kid hasn't even hit puberty yet. He will play for us soon enough, we know his talents. No one benefits by sitting in reserves and training. He is at least 2 years away from being physically prepared to handle top flight football. enjoy him in his youth. because he, like many others, should get to enjoy it too. This isn't the EPL, Ligue 1, or Eredevise. We can't just start children and have them run wild.

No, but many benefit from training with great players, playing friendly matches and getting playing time occaisonly at the end of matches or in less important matches.

Nobody is talking about starting. But I guess you just needed to make this up to make at least one point.

I will stop this discussion with you at this point. It's senseless to discuss with somebody who doesn't know basic principles how to behave in a discussion.

To which 2nd division club was Fabregas loaned?
You tottaly missed my point :disagree: I was trying to tell that Fabregas was written of by Barca but his talent howevere came out. And I compared his example to our youths by saying if our loaned players were that good than they would surely made in football which means that they haven't been that much talented and Juve didn't wasted them.

I don't know much about him, but this seems to be what most think.
Most folk have seen him play quite well for 15 mins and so have decided that the wee guy is awesome.

I think they may just be getting slightly ahead of themselves in terms of judging a promising player.

i say he should be loaned out to Reggina, especially if we r thinking of getting Bianchi or Mesto. They are a good team and play good football, with a very good coach in Mazzari.
