Giovinco is rather underrated actually . No one has heard of him outside of Italy and very little have really seen him play apart from us Juventus fans . Nani and Anderson got a lot of media attention , and the fact that one is Brazilian and the other is Potuguese helps a lot IMO . Giovinco is an Italian that has been brought up in Juve's youth system , you wouldn't expect too many teams paying much attention to him at all .

True, none of my friends know him when I'm talking about him.
I find it funny though, cause when he really makes an impact an a bigger stage he makes me seem like someone with a keen eye for talent and who knows a lot about football :spliff:

It's the exact same thing with my friends , when I talk about Giovinco they think I'm joking ; I guess it's because they expect they would have heard of him if he was any good but the truth is the media has put the English league under the magnifying glass , and over there anything that is even remotely considered as talent is known all over the world . It Italy , you would have to be the best player in the team that won the WC or the CL to even be looked at .

On the other side , maybe it's better that way, to keep all that media hype away from him. He will play his game and can only improve and show his true worth.

He gets extensive hype from Italian media, nowhere near as much as Cassano did but Seba gets his fair share of articles.. It's funny how Milanistas and other clubs supporters are so jealous of us to have him.. Whenever i speak to anyone regardless of their dislike for us they acknowledge we have a gem in Giovinco

Chelsea To Poach Giovinco’s Brother From Juve?

Giovinco Sr is currently regarded as one of the most explosive talents in the whole of Europe, however few know that he has a very talented younger brother.

Giuseppe Giovinco plays for the Juventus Berretti squad, which consists of players under the age of 19.

The 17-year-old plays in the same creative position as his elder sibling, although he is said to be more physical, and ever so slightly taller.

Chelsea are said to be impressed by Giovinco Jr’s talent, and are looking to poach him from Juventus, before he signs his first professional contract.

"So far I have not received offers,” said Giuseppe’s agent Andrea D’Amico.

“However I am not surprised if Giuseppe has been followed by Chelsea and other English clubs as they observe in a systematic manner all the youth leagues of our country.”

There has been an escalating row building in recent months between Serie A and the Premiership, with a number of Italian clubs accusing English teams of “stealing” their young players before they sign a professional contract.

Reggina’s 15-year-old prospect Vincenzo Camilleri was snapped up by Chelsea in February, Atalanta’s teenage talent Fabio Zamblera by Newcastle Utd, while a few years back Parma-duo Giuseppe Rossi and Arturo Lupoli were signed by Man Utd and Arsenal respectively.

This all led to Palermo President Maurizio Zamaparini famously labelling English clubs earlier this month as “pirates”.

trust zamparini to be the comic relief :spliff:

Chelsea watch Giovinco Jnr
Chelsea are reportedly targeting Sebastian Giovinco’s younger brother, 17-year-old Giuseppe, who plays for Juventus’ schoolboy squad. Giuseppe plays in a similar role to his elder sibling and Chelsea are said to be impressed by him and considering poaching him from the Old Lady before he signs his first professional contract. “So far I have not received offers,” said Giuseppe’s agent Andrea D’Amico. “However I am not surprised if Giuseppe has been followed by Chelsea and other English clubs as they observe all the youth Leagues of our country in a systematic manner.”

I'd be so freakin' angry if Giovinco JR leaves us for Celsea:faq1:
