He has done well, showed more than glimpses of true talent, in the majority of games I have seen him play. The spanish are a decent example of the usefulness of diminutive speedy skill merchants...he has wicked pace, more flair than anyone else in the team, other than Diego and DP, can put decent crosses into the box, pass a man, take free kicks, and is young. We have a dearth of such players, not a surplus.

Firstly...its disgusting how much time on the field DP has had, in recent times, when Gio, who could play in the same areas as DP ,has been given fuck-all time...

Secondly...its strange that the reality seems to be that del neri has not even bothered to give him a chance to shine in the friendlies, or am i mistaken here???? That seems like lunacy. That his mind was already made up before even meeting Giovinco and the rest of the squad....strange, given giovinco was a healthy, lively part of the juve formation which ripped del neri's samp apart last season...

Its very odd indeed, for a young player, to look consistently useful, when given bit part roles sporadically...but to then see him discarded like this.

What is there I am missing?????
no, ur not missing anything! I miyself find it hard to believe that Del Neri seems to have come in with prejudistic view on him, considering big a role gio played when we ripped apart samp last season. Del Neri himself even said that in an interview last week, that him, Camo and Digeo tore apart Samp last season when Gio and Camo were able to get forward and support Diego.

Is Giovinco recovering from an injury?
he can't possibly be seeing how pics there are of him in full training sessions

Their not Italien , unless of course he pulls an amauri which is impossible.
I don't understand what you mean. Brazilians are not Italian, I know that and I think everyone knows that but it still did not answer my question, what is wrong with Brazlians.

Giovinco to leave Juve
Playmaker going in search of first-team football

By Simone Bargellini Last updated: 19th July 2010

Sebastian Giovinco's agent has revealed that his client is to leave Juventus in search of regular first-team football.

The diminutive playmaker was tipped to be the next big thing in Italy upon bursting onto the scene in 2007.

However, the 23-year-old has struggled to force his way into the fold under a succession of managers at Stadio Olimpico and is growing increasingly frustrated.

It appears the time has now come for him to take on a fresh challenge elsewhere, with incoming boss Luigi Del Neri failing to give him the assurances he wants to hear.

The likes of Arsenal, Bari and Parma are all reported to be ready to make their move, and Giovinco's representative expects a decision to be made before the end of the week.

Security

Andrea D'Amico told Sky Italia: "It is normal that the boy wants to play. His desire was to do it at Juventus, but if the plans of the coach don't involve him, it is necessary that he leaves and plays elsewhere.

"He will choose the project that will give him greatest security. Within two or three days everything will be sorted out."

Bari coach Giampiero Ventura has been the first to openly express his interest in Giovinco and admits he would make the youngster the focal point of his side were he fortunate enough to secure his signature.

He told Tuttosport: "Giovinco in Bari could be a revelation. I think his arrival in Bari would be more important for him than for us.

"I'd build a team around him and so he could express himself in the best way. He is very much suited to our game and he would have no problems integrating. We'll see".

I just personally prefer the icon of an italian team to be italian ! we are not inter, kinda like a.c and pirlo or roma and totti , I would prefer DP's replacement to be italian, nothing against brazil though , as they say the english invented it but the brazilians perfected it

inter is buying coutiño ..faraoni....
and we are selling giovinco and criscito.... we are a joke now...
btw Wiki says that Coutiño is already an :inter: player since 2008 but he was in loan to Vasco da Gama.

so they bought him when he was 16 and god only knows what this fucker can be. and we scout players who are in the mid 20's.

Thats another coach unwilling to give him a shot. Gio really needs to move on and his doing the right thing, though he should have done that a few seasons ago.
