i was wearing my Seba away jersey last night! :touched:
I was sitting in front of the PC and i was applauding when he scored. It was a reflex reaction. I simply found myself applauding to the goal.
The first time i'm doing that this year. I didn't do it even when DP was scoring those magical goals.

This kid has something about him that wins everyone's hearts and it's impossible not to love him.

He was taking all the free kicks and the corners just like DP would do and I was thinking if only he scored from a free kick to complete a DPs job...

I liked this comparison from Channel4

While Mario Balotelli was busy playing for the Inter Primavera side on Saturday following his latest contrast with Jose Mourinho, Turin-born and Juve fan Sebastian was in the side after again committing his future to the club.

“I am happy here, even if I'm not playing much,” he said on Friday. “The important thing is to be in one of the biggest teams in the world. For a young player it is the greatest thing to be here and I am trying to learn as much as I can – in the hope of one day becoming Juventus captain…”

I'm sure this kid will be Juventus Idol in future. He plays with smile on his face and after many years we have great players from Turin like Giovinco, Marchisio, De Celige, Palladino, Pasquato and many more who was Juventus fan when they were kids....

This youth team production is from Moggi and Bettega time so we shouldn't forget that... Forza Juventus!

Yeah, Moggi has a lot to do with kids born in Turin (Giovinco, Marchisio) or kids born near Turin (De Ceglie) playing in Juve's youth ranks.
They'd never get their chance with Juve if Moggi was still around so don't even mention him in the same context with Marchisio, De Ceglie and Giovinco.

Our new directors and new coach are the ones who gave these kids a chance.
Accept and obey.

Seba enjoys Juve opener
Monday 8 December, 2008

Juventus youngster Sebastian Giovinco was over the moon after scoring his first Bianconeri goal against Lecce.

The Old Lady triumphed at Via Del Mare courtesy of a late Amauri header, but diminutive playmaker Giovinco had put them ahead with a fantastic free-kick.

“We knew this was a difficult ground and we had to deal with several absences, but it was crucial to get a win,” Giovinco told Sky Sport Italia.

“We got the result and I also managed to hit the back of the net. I am very happy that I finally got off the mark.

“When you have someone like Alessandro Del Piero to teach you tricks, you learn as fast as possible. :D

“I'm glad that I can play alongside such great champions and I want to thank all my teammates, the Coach and the club because they have shown great faith in me.

“Of course scoring this goal will lift my morale and make everything seem easier.

Blog: Finally Atomic

Sebastian Giovinco took his first step towards becoming Juventus’ new Alex Del Piero at Lecce, says Antonio Labbate
Juventus saw into the future on Sunday at the Stadio Via Del Mare. And they liked what they saw. Deprived of Alessandro Del Piero, their captain and symbol, little Sebastian Giovinco underlined his enormous potential with a performance which kept the Old Lady in the Scudetto race.

Just a week earlier the Under-21 international had won the penalty against Reggina which allowed Del Piero to net his 250th goal in the Bianconeri jersey. In Week 15, Giovinco scored his first in the club colours with a free-kick which Pinturrichio would have proudly stuck his tongue out for.

Giovinco has been hailed as the next big thing in Italian football for just over a year now, but being offered the opportunity to consistently prove it at the highest level has been a problem. He spent last season on loan at Empoli and has been used sparingly on his return to Turin, more often than not fielded as an alternative to Pavel Nedved.

Indeed, he was only offered the Del Piero role alongside Amauri yesterday afternoon as Vincenzo Iaquinta was ruled out of the tie with injury. And although it was no stellar performance from Juventus as a whole against a spirited Lecce side, The Atomic Ant glowed with spark and invention. It was enough for Tuttosport to today don their front page with Alex Giovinco as its main headline.

Comparisons between the two though are as premature as they are inevitable. It’s clearly far too soon to say with any certainty that Giovinco could one day replace Del Piero in the side and in the hearts of the Juventus faithful, but we have to consider that he may well be the chosen one.

Antonio Cassano has again spent this weekend damaging his own career by taking an unnecessary verbal swipe at Marcello Lippi and showing more petulance in the Genoa derby, whilst constant links with Werder Bremen ace Diego always seem to result in nothing.

Giovinco on the other hand has the dream.

At that time they were between 15-18 years old! But it was them who first decide to support Juve's youth team.... that primavera team that won everything in Italy was created by triad and Bettega was direct responsible for that. Those JuveSchools was founded by triad.

Our previous managers was the ones who find these kids and establish a career for them.... Accept and don't forget!
