Buffon, when they sing to him he's looking down and doesn't want to take all the credit for what the team has achieved. But once the fans start singing the Pogba song, Buffon sings at the top of his lungs, in credit to Pogba. This is just the sort of man he is. The best in the world, and in history. But he doesn't enjoy the spotlight that much. He'd rather let his teammates have it. The greatest captain we've ever had. Yes ofc DP was a great capitano. The 2nd best of all time in my opinion. DP was a player I followed from the mid-90s and until he retired. But nobody comes close to Buffon. It's Buffon's humbleness that always gets to me. We will never see a bigger connection with fans and player than with Juve fans and Buffon. There was a connection with Platini, with Scirea, with Zidane, with DP, with Pavel, with Trez etc. There truly was. But Buffon, it's something else.
