That's part of what is annoying Dons fans just now.

There is always an excuse for bad results and it is never, ever, his fault.

This week he claimed the team lacked experience. I would say that only two of Aberdeen's starting XI haven't made 50 SPL appearances. And even if they did lack experience, it's his team and he didn't buy experienced players in the summer.
missed this one, i was laughing the other week when we played as Jimmy was banging on about his "young" team despite the fact hearts have a pretty young team also (nade is only 23) with Wallace,Johnsson,Driver,Glen,Obua etc all young guys. FAt Jimmy always has an excuse and it says so much for the cunt that even his own fans despise him

Post No. 10,000, so I better make it a good 'un.

If I had the wings of a sparrow,
And the arse of a big buffalo,
I'd fly over Ibrox tomorrow,
And shite on the bastards below, below,
not the greatest poetry in the world but i am touched by the sentiments
Shite on, Shite on,
Shite on the bastards below, below.

That is all.

I'm convinced that Rangers raise their game (primarily their concentration levels) against us, especially at Ibrox.

You see the goals they frequently gift to other teams? They never do that against Aberdeen.

good stuff, though he claims Calderwood is "likeable and chummy" is he talking about the same, fat, whiny, irritating cunt that we all know and hate? calderwood's self-publicity knows no shame but the bottom line is he is tactically inept and if i was an aberdeen fan i would be wanting him out.
the problem is, who do you get in? mark mcghee is the obvious choice but IMO he has shown himself to be a one-season wonder once again, then again i could eb biased due to his constantly bitter ramblings about hearts since he turned us down, what a lucky escape that was.

in other news i am killing myself laughing at the level of rage coming from the ogres at castle greyskull that hearts had the cheek to score 2 goals and NOT roll over and die easily. they are always moaning that the SPL is not competitive yet whine like children when another team has the gall to take points off of them.

Same old huns. What did they expect by playing Dailly and McCulloch at CB?

And Tango is remarkably good at staying matey with folk in the Press. Probably because of his inclination to spout shite everytime a microphone is stuck under his nose. I wonder what all those journalists would write if they watched Aberdeen every week?

I think he may well have been sacked if there were any good candidates out there. Mcghee doesn't fill me with enthusiasm (though we would almost certainly finish third in his first season...). John Hughes would have been a decent option, but seems to have fucked up this season when he was given a wee bit of cash. I am constantly terrified that Jim Jeffries will manage Aberdeen one day.

Any Aberdeen fan that suggests Darren Ferguson should be summarily executed.

In conclusion: McGhee is a better manager than Calderwood.

thought so:agree: plus the aberdeen fans would certainly take to McGhee a lot better than tango ever could, though it could be the inclination that tango is only at aberdeen till he gets a shot at castle greyskull that has caused him to fail to endear himself to the dons faithful.

as for mcghee, we were very, very close to getting him on board during the summer. i was never 100% convinced given him boom and bust style of management and Csaba Lazlo has been a godsend, both to us Jambo's and the media who love his crazy ramblings.

I don't think Tango really believes he can manage Rangers.

It doesn't really matter what he wants, he is a hun (and is always going on about it) so that will always be held against him, but it certainly isn't the main reason folk want him out.

However long he hangs on, he has been a dead man walking since Queen of the South.

The team have looked totally clueless since we humped Celtic and, even after four seasons, Tango still hasn't figured out how to beat a team that comes to Pittodrie playing 4-5-1 and with no intention of attacking.

I think that there is a lot of disrespect towards First Division sides, each season we see plenty of teams from that division knock out SPL sides from cup competitions and immediatly the manager is hounded. Look at St.Johnstone, Queen of The South, Gretna, Dunfermline.

The truth is that there isn't a great deal between the top half of the First Division and the bottom half of the SPL. (Not that I am suggesting Aberdeen are a bottom 6 side :D ). Indeed in recent seasons St. Johnstone have pushed both the old firm to the wire, as did Partick did this season against Rangers.

I really think there should be at least a playoff to allow another team up from the First Division.

The play-off system should be brought back.

It always added something to the end of the season and it keeps both leagues more interesting than when it is just the straight one up one down system.

I would rather see a 4-3-3.

Caldwell

Brown-Fletcher

???????-Fletcher-McFadden

I don't really like Caldwell, but we should have someone sitting back to allow Brown and Fletcher the freedom to go forward.

i think both Commons and Morrison have shown that we ahve the players to go 4-4-2 but your 4-3-3 could work with Maloney-Fletcher-Mcfadden
