I think you are right, I was drunk when I wrote that and probably got some numbers confused. I think the 15 can actually push near mach 3 though, some of its numbers are still classified.

Speaking of still classified, I was reading a report from one of the former pilots of the SR-71, who said that the Bird will push near mach 5 or 6, which I would not be surprised.

And yes, the airbase is called Ramstein, with only one M.

I read elsewhere it was "ramming stone" (and thats easier to remember ) but there was also "battering ram". However according to other sites Rammstein also chose the name Rammstein with a double M because it seems like a fusion of German music or something like that.
