Scilone??????? what the hell r u talkin about??????? i'm portuguese and i don't reckon any scilone playing in portugal, but HuMmm i assume u r refering to simão sabrosa from benfica (cuz his alter ego in Pro Evolution Soccer 5 is something like that Schilone or something..) anyway THAT GUY IS A SOB..;) i've seen him in person and he's an arrogant small bitch who whines just about everything and threatened to hit the door on his club if he wasn't handed the captain's armband..also he betrayed his youth club sporting and signed for rivals benfica and keeps teasing the former...
the man has no class,no loyalty and he's also VERY injury prone..the only credit i give him is his set piece skill...
btw if u want a future world class RB look for benfica's Nelson...Pace+Technique+Class Crossing+Good Defense/Offense+Youth=A must buy
and while i'm at it:
ricardo carvalho's heir - Ze Castro - the kid's a damn rock in the center of the defense
Joao Moutinho - Attacking Midfielder who knows how to defend as well
and please,
Quaresma..excellent dribbling skills, crossing, long shot, plus this year he learned how to defend so he's more complete now and he's the engine of the FCPorto team IMO better than cristiano ronaldo..scolari is a fool!!!!!!

Santa Moggi bring quaresma, nelson, rosicky, chivu, cassano and ... Gilardino ( i dream of seeing the Antonio-Alberto-Zlatan trio in action ) or else a good finisher to sub trez
Wasnt aware of that.. Hes a decent player though. we will see.

and yes, I saw the player in pro evo 5 after looking in the benfica team- I didnt know which one was the real name and the nickname, and since scilone is alot easier to remember..!

Hes average anyway in pro evo.

So let me ask one thing here...

You didnt know that "scilone" is indeed Simao, then how can you say that he is great if you havent see him play?

Whew. OK. Glad to know the world makes sense to me now.

I'm like, "Scilone? Does this guy play under an assumed name?"

Simao is a real cry baby behind the scenes, but on the pitch he's pretty good (i.e., when not injured).

He's played regularly for the Portuguese NT in usually a sort of attacking midfielder/wing role. With the shake up at Benfica in the past season, he finally got his long-whined-for captain's arm band. And to his credit, I think he's shown some leadership the team has needed/lacked since the beginning of the year. But I wouldn't dare consider him for anything like that at a team like Juve.

His set piece skills have also improved... he's taken some mean free kicks from time-to-time.

But the guy also looks like "Jai" from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy". Not exactly a plus. ;)

Definitely a player for the midsize club. He'd get lost as a smaller fish in a big pond.

Simao Sabrosa used to play for Barcelona in 2001 and never really made an impression at Camp Nou. He is a very pacey and quick winger who can dribble around players all day long, except for when you need the guy the most. Simao is a very good player though, however IIRC he is now around 30 so not much of an option for Juventus. I wouldn't want him anyway to be honest.

Tks Cronios ;)
and for all the people who would like to see simao in black and white, benfica's chairman says he's only going to discuss offers for simao of around 18M€.. huge price tag for a small whiner!! we don't need him and thrust me,we don't want him :weee:

Chivu would be nice.. but Puyol is very overrated IMO.. :) and btw, i really dont think we have a chance of signing him.. but hey, sometime wishes come true ;)
Nah bro, Puyol is one of the best defenders I've ever seen. Call me whatever you want. But this guy will be remmbered as one of the best defenders Futball brought.

About dreams coming True. one word.

Now is an opportune time to inject some youth into the Juventus squad. I know Moggi and Bettega like experience because it is less of a risk, but, nevertheless, a risk should now be taken to secure either of the following:-

Joao Moutinho the midfielder playing for Sporting Lisbon. Very gifted attacking minded player with fierce shot.

Franck Ribery, the extraordinarily talented Boulogne born, left sided Nedved replacement currently wooing them at Marseille and breaking into the France main squad.

Antonio Cassano. This guy should blossom into one of the all-time legends in the great history of Juventus if Moggi's negotiations come to fruition today with Cassano's agent. Watch that particular space in Gazzetta.

Either way we now need two signings now and/or in the summer.

After the drogba fiasco i doubt marseille would let Ribery go, good prospect though.

When was the last time Moggi bought us some players during the January market people? Long time. Infact, we always sell during the period or loan some players out. I really do not expect this trend to change, especially this season.

I'll toss in Ricardo Quaresma's name into the hat since he hasn't been mentioned.

Same here, I've had my eye on him for the longest time. Brilliant kid with some serious skill and pace, coupled with great upper body strength (check out that six-pack). A pretty rare combination of qualities in a winger and a player I'd certainly like to see in black and white.
